🌟THANK YOU🌟

We had such an incredible turn out to our first ever maintenance day yesterday 🤩 all ages, all skills, all keen as mustard to do their bit!

What we achieved:
✅ Shed racking built upstairs for better organisation
✅ All areas in the shed cleared & organised
✅ Soffits, doors & handrails painted
✅ Concrete laid at the beach & marina slips
✅ Main hall painted
✅ All windows cleaned
✅ Bars & cellar cleaned and organised
✅ Kitchen decluttered, organised and DEEP cleaned
✅ Office decluttered & reorganised
✅ Area cleared and new wheelie bins relocated
✅ Boundary fence renewed
✅ All areas around the buildings tidied up
✅ SMUHA shields displayed
✅ BBQ & beer! 🍻

A MASSIVE thank you to everybody that came and helped. Far too many to name but you all know who you are. We are so very grateful for every single one of you 🫶🏻 We still have a few small jobs to finish off but this has given us a great head start for a busy summer ahead 🥳

It’s back!!!…. Parish Cup football starts up again a week on Saturday with a mouth watering tie between last years finalists and 2023 winners Southend and 2024 winners Whitedale at Boddam.

Get the date in the diary and get yourselves along to Boddam on Saturday 23rd May to support the boys!

🛠️MAINTENANCE DAY🛠️

We’re having a maintenance day on Saturday 30th May from 12pm.

We’re looking for as many volunteers as possible to help tie up loose ends before a busy summer ahead 😎

We’ve got lots of jobs on the list so whatever your skill set - we’ll have a job for you!

And if an afternoon of socialising over a hammer or a paint brush isn’t enough to persuade you, a BBQ will be laid on at the end of the day for all the helpers 😉

Disappointed post 👎🏼

Seems the phantom dough-nutter has paid our caravan site a visit. Again. How sad. We’re even less impressed than your friends 🥱

📸 Photos: first photo, literally only two weekends ago, regrading the site after the last set of donuts 😤 second photo - today.

Because of this we’ll have to install CCTV on our caravan site. We do not have the time or resources to KEEP correcting the selfishness.

With this in mind, not only will the culprit incur the cost of materials and time to sort the caravan site, we may as well fire the cost of installing CCTV at you to - since your the reason we have to install it 🤗

If you have the decency however, to come forward and admit your mistake, we’ll happily provide you with a rake to rectify your wrong doing. Might be cheaper for you in the long run. (Think of all the petrol money you could save!)

As everyone is well aware, the NBC is run by volunteers. Volunteers who would much rather dedicate their time to improving the NBC for everyone. We do not have the time to continually sort problems that shouldn’t exist.

Do us all a favour and find a new hobby, knitting perhaps 🤩

It was great to host the G&G mixed doubles again this year and so good to see so many young folk playing darts 🎯 well done to everyone who took part!

Saturday night was the G&G mixed doubles at the Ness Boating Club.
10 pairs entered and split into 2 groups with the top 4 from each group progressing to make up the quarter finals.

🌟 BAR TRAINING 🌟

We’ll be running bar training on TUESDAY 14th April at 7.30pm in the Broch Head Bar.

We’re keen to add to our pool of bar staff, whether you join the rota or our “relief” staff covering one off events.

If you, or anyone you know would like to take part in this training, all you have to do is turn up 😉

This training is at our cost.

In all seriousness, we MUST have good attendance to hold the AGM. As we’ve always said, attending the meeting isn’t an obligation to join the committee. BUT(!) if you’re interested, we’re always keen to have new members bringing fresh ideas and helping hands for the continued success of the club 🥳
