Little bird told me that the new gaffer at the Fox 🦊 Hall Inn was complaining on Tik Tok of not being able to use booking.com due to a £3k debt by previous incumbent.

Shall we tell him why children?Hmmm shall we tell him the big gentleman why children?
OK then - let’s.

It’s because he’s not parted with a penny for all the fixtures & fittings (he valued at £2.8k), the goodwill & services, & the stock take (£2k).

Now everyone together -

“Please new gaffer Joe pay your dues.” 💰

Then I can pay mine … 🙄🙈😐

All good things come to an end ...

Please note that The Fox Hall Inn is now temporarily closed until the new leaseholder takes over the reigns again in the next couple of weeks.

As you're probably aware the building is covered in scaffolding for painting and thorough repair work and will be for another couple of weeks. Therefore the new leaseholder will probably keep it closed until all this repair work concludes. I haven't been told this - but it's an educated guess.

The Fox Hall Inn Limited company has been struck off the Companies House register - as advised by Companies House.

It only remains for me to thank Team Fox Hall for all their hard work, dedication, and sense of humour, to build our enviable reputation in the restaurant, bar and rooms of this massive venue and to wish them all the very best of luck in the future.

Thanks and respect due to all our regulars especially the Bowes, Newsham, Thompson, & Fox Hall Caravan Site Mafias who brought so much fun and laughter to this occasionally sunny inn with it's unrivalled views over Holmesdale.

Will be working for Arab royalty again for a few years to restore my bruised finances but will cherish the stress, heartache, incredibly long hours, and financial meltdown that go with running a rural inn on an incredibly busy A66 ... ;-)

Apologies for any persons who have booked privately for rooms or on booking.com during these next few weeks. The former I'm trying to contact personally to return deposits and the latter should be cancelled by booking.com as they've been instructed on this closure.

Here's hoping the new guy will keep this amazing venue open and vibrant into the future and I wish him and his team all the best of British luck with that.
