Our airy Conservatory is perfect for a catch up with friends, a family get together or an excuse for a big party. Known as the hidden treasure at the end of Ulverston Canal, the Bay Horse is steeped in history as the place where travellers would rest before making the treacherous crossing over the sands by coach and horses. Nowadays, it is well known for being a welcoming hostelry with home comfor

ts and excellent cuisine. The views from the Conservatory restaurant are amazing, you can watch the tidal bore race in whilst enjoying a tasty snack or a celebratory dinner with friends and family Alternatively, you could enjoy a coffee ,mulled wine or mulled cider or a pint by the fireside in our cosy bar and bring the dog too as we are very dog friendly. Take a brisk walk down the canal on an autumn/winters day to blow the cobwebs away or if you need to drive, we have free parking. Two great destinations unite at Canal Foot and all this is to be found in a great, open space.

Good Morning everyone.Just to let you know that we are not open on Mondays for food or drinks. We are open Tuesday 11am till 8pm for drinks, hot beverages and Litebites (12 till 3pm).
Our regular hours and meal times as usual from Wednesday to Sunday. Drinks, hot beverages, lunch and dinner.

How lovely is this? A chance conversation with Adele Dean, the lady who won our Ulverston BID prize is the retired nurse who set up Lookin GOOD and Feelin GREAT and when she and her husband heard about Bobs ill health, she put his name forward to receive a surprise cash gift for a treat and a beautiful bouquet for me which she and her husband delivered yesterday.

We were so taken by their kindness that we have offered a gift voucher to raffle.
