VAR CHECK COMPLETE… ❌⚽
FIFA have confirmed that England v Mexico will stay at 1am BST on Monday morning.
The Government has extended licensing hours until 5am, so pubs can technically stay open for the match.
However, with most students away for summer and very few of you likely to be around campus at 1am, Falmer Bar will not be opening or showing the game.
There should be plenty of places in Brighton showing it for anyone committed enough to sacrifice their sleep schedule. Please check directly with venues before heading out.
A huge thank you to the brilliant staff who volunteered to pull together a full Sunday opening for the possible 7pm kick-off at incredibly short notice. The team was ready, the rota was written, and then FIFA moved the goalposts back to silly o’clock.
Absolute legends.
Gianni, mate, we had a rota. 🫠
Falmer Bar, not open for England vs. Mexico, Monday 1am.
