Includes a cask ale bar with eight handpulls, two more bars and a lovely first floor restaurant. Food is served during the following times:
Monday – Saturday from 12 noon to 3pm & from 5pm to last food orders at 8.30pm
Sunday from 12 noon to last food orders at 6pm

The famous water mill at Ulverston is now home to a superb restaurant overseen by Multi-award-winning chef Steven Doherty. We also have three distinctive bars. Our Cask Bar on the ground floor features wood-burning fires and the Mill’s original water wheel. Enjoy one of our craft ales or spirits in its cosy alcoves. Venture up the iron spiral staircase to find the Terrace Bar with more space to relax and a large outdoor area. And on the top floor sits the Loft Bar, Ulverston’s only true cocktail bar, and the perfect place to unwind at weekends or to book for private events and parties. 🍷 MEET MOLLY

Molly joined The Mill team in 2024 and has been a lovely part of the bunch ever since.

She’ll soon be heading off to university, but you’ll still see her back at The Mill during the holidays 📚

Her fun fact? That dark patch in her hair is completely natural. And when she’s on the other side of the bar, her drink of choice is a cold glass of Pinot 🍷

🏔️ MEET ROBERT

One of the newer faces at The Mill, Rob has settled in brilliantly and is enjoying getting to know our customers.

He plays rugby and loves spending time with his family. His biggest adventure so far was climbing Mont Blanc with his dad and brother, which is no small achievement! 🏉

Rob is also keen to explore more Lancaster Brewery venues, with Tite & Locke on Platform 3 at Lancaster train station next on his list. 🍻

🎹 MEET FAYE

Faye has been part of The Mill team for just shy of a year and brings her calm, friendly nature to every shift. She’s always polite, welcoming and happy to help, making her a lovely person to have around. 😊

Away from The Mill, Faye plays the piano and is a big fan of Ludovico Einaudi. She’s also preparing to study medicine at university in September. Clever, musical and brilliant with our customers, she’s a real all-rounder! 🩺🎶
