🔧 2013 Ford Transit Custom 2.2 TDCi – ECU SID208

🔥 2018 SEAT Ibiza 1.0 TSI – Street Stage 1 🔥

Small engine, big gains! 💪

This 2018 SEAT Ibiza came into the workshop for one of our CainePerformance Custom Stage 1 Street tune

Despite its modest 1.0-litre engine, these little turbocharged petrol engines have plenty of potential waiting to be unlocked.

Following our usual vehicle health checks, we got to work with datalogging and refining the calibration to deliver a healthy increase in power and torque whilst maintaining smooth, factory-like drivability.

📈 Before:
⚙️ 94hp
⚙️ 175Nm

📈 After:
🔥 140hp
🔥 240Nm

That's an impressive 46hp and 65Nm increase! 🚀

A fantastic improvement for such a small engine, giving this Ibiza stronger acceleration, improved mid-range pulling power and a much more responsive driving experience.

And the best part? All achieved with our custom road calibration, without the need for any hardware modifications.

This lovely MK2 Mazda MX-5 1.8 came into the workshop for some dyno power runs, giving the owner an accurate look at how their car is performing.

Not every visit to our dyno involves tuning. Sometimes it's simply about finding out what your car is actually producing, whether that's checking the results of previous modifications, establishing a baseline before future upgrades or just satisfying your curiosity! 👌

Using our in-house 2WD rolling road, we can measure engine power, wheel power and torque, with a printed dyno graph for you to take away.

🔥 2015 Ford Transit Custom 2.2 TDCi – Stage 1 🔥

Who says vans can't have a bit of fun? 😎

This 2015 Transit Custom came into the workshop for one of our Street Stage 1 custom calibrations.

Equipped with the Continental SID208 ECU, we carried out our usual vehicle health checks before getting to work on the calibration, unlocking some serious potential from the 2.2 TDCi engine.

📈 Before:
⚙️ 100hp
⚙️ 300Nm

📈 After:
🔥 180hp
🔥 420Nm

That's an impressive 80hp and 120Nm increase! 💪

A huge improvement in pulling power, throttle response and overall drivability, making everyday driving and carrying loads that little bit easier.

🔥 2006 Ford Focus ST225 – From Boost Problems to 300HP! 🔥

This Focus ST225 arrived at our workshop after visiting another tuner and unfortunately being left in a bit of a sorry state.

Our initial health checks highlighted several issues with the brakes, drivetrain and boost control system. The biggest concern was multiple vacuum issues around the boost control solenoid, leaving the wastegate stuck closed and giving the engine what can only be described as ALL OF THE BOOST! 😅

Before we could even think about tuning, there was some work to be done.

🔧 Brake repairs carried out
🔧 Replacement driveshafts fitted
🔧 Boost control and vacuum issues rectified
🔧 Custom intake heat shield fabricated

Despite having some really nice performance hardware fitted, the car was missing an intake heat shield, so our mechanic knocked up a temporary solution to keep things under control.

With the mechanical issues sorted, we finally strapped it onto our in-house dyno and got to work with the Bosch ME9.0C ECU.

We quickly reached our planned targets of 300hp and 460Nm, so rather than chasing unnecessary numbers, we spent the extra time out on the road refining the pedal calibration and throttle response to get the drivability just right.

🏁 Final Results:

🔥 301HP
🔥 463Nm

A fantastic result, but more importantly, a car that's now mechanically sorted, properly calibrated and driving as it should!

It's a perfect example of why we put so much emphasis on vehicle health checks before tuning. There's no point chasing power when the fundamentals aren't right.

🔓 NEW SERVICE – KORHEX ECU UNLOCKS NOW AVAILABLE

We’re pleased to announce that Caine Performance can now offer Korhex ECU unlocks here in the UK, with same-day turnaround available.

Thanks to the latest EMFI (Electromagnetic Fault Injection) and HVI (High Voltage Injection) technology, we now have access to advanced unlocking methods for a growing range of modern ECUs that were previously inaccessible through conventional bench and boot methods.

This means no more sending valuable ECUs overseas, significantly reducing turnaround times, shipping costs and the time the vehicle is off the road.

Simply send the ECU directly to us. Once received, we can carry out the Korhex unlock in-house, usually the same day, before securely returning the ECU back to you ready for tuning.

This new technology opens up tuning access to a much wider range of late-model vehicles and ECU generations that were previously locked down by the manufacturer.
