About us
*The Swan at Ullesthorpe* restaurant, with approximately seating for 90, offers a quality dining experience and is based in the south Leicestershire village of Ullesthorpe. We feature traditional British cuisine, with an emphasis on fabulous, home-made quality dishes, steaks and roasts, with locally grown and produced ingredients. We intend to make The Swan a destination venue where people will travel miles to sample its delights of great food, fine wines and good ales.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking *Junior Sou Chef* to assist in running a new restaurant kitchen in our village pub.
The ideal candidate will have experience preparing and cooking food in a busy, professional kitchen. A successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be willing to learn new skills and be able to work effectively with our Head Chef and the rest of the restaurant team.
Attention to detail is a must, as is demonstrating culinary interest. We would like someone with creativity and passion to help us produce innovative, high quality dishes and enhance the overall dining experience for existing local and new customers.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparing a variety of foods according to recipes, presentation standards, meal specifications, and cost objectives.
Working a flexible schedule to accommodate restaurant needs.
Ordering and monitoring of supplies.
Ensuring that high standards of food quality, sanitation and safety are being met.
