The QMG has left the building.. 👋 😎
As of yesterday, HQ (The QMG Headquarters) is officially in new hands 🙌
Am I gutted? A bit.. 😔
Am I buzzing? Absolutely 🤩
However, business is buisness 🤝 An offer came along, I took it, and here we are. 🤷🏻♂️
Between NUFC TV, St James Park Gigs, entertaining hundreds at The Salt Market Social, knocking out 20+ events per week and now exploring Radio, finding the time to run my own little drinking establishment was becoming something of a juggling act.. 🤹
Even I’ve only got two hands, and as you all know, one is usually holding a microphone and the other a pint 🎤 🍺
I’m proud of what I created at HQ 😊 We had some belter nights, sold out themed quizzes and plenty of laughs. However, there were some challenges I hadn’t expected from operating from inside the church, and alongside other businesses. Also, on a personal level, there is also people close to me who’s support I’d hoped for and felt let down by. Throw extortionate rent into the mix, alongside the time and money needed to keep it going, and accepting the offer became one of the easiest buisness decisions I’ve ever made 🤷🏻♂️👍
You can love an idea but still know when it’s time to move on, as it’s just business 😎
To everyone who supported HQ, came through the door, booked or attended an event, and enjoyed a drink or night with us - THANK YOU.
You gave the place character and atmosphere and made the hard work and good nights worth every penny and minute 🙏 👏

Our themed quizzes will return at a venue near you and all pre-booked private events are being honoured. I wouldn’t be surprised if HQ pops up somewhere else before too long. No new address to announce just yet, but you know me and I’m rarely short of an idea 😉
For now, there are quizzes to host, crowds to entertain, pints to be drank and a microphone with my name on it 😎
The QMG carries on. Obviously 🙄
