Today was a day that I thought and hoped I would never have to face. I am utterly heartbroken to see the doors to Cellar Head brewery and tap room close today after 7 years. I would like to raise a glass (of Cellar Heard obviously) to thank each and every wonderful landlord and landlady the length and breadth of Britain who bought our beer and shared it with your customers. Each and everyone one of you are absolute legends for doing daily what you do. To all our suppliers and buyers local and national, thank you for the support and your understanding over the last couple of years. To all our loyal and wonderful customers near and far who championed and bought Cellar Head beers over the years - THANK YOU for the support and the memories which I will cherish fondly.

Finally, I want to say the biggest and best thank you to my wife, Julia, my family, and friends as without you, none of this would have even been possible.

It is with immense sadness that we announce the immediate closure of Cellar Head Brewing Company & Tap Room. The whole team over the past 7 years have ploughed heart, soul, blood, sweat and a few tears along the way, into creating amazing beers and fantastic memories. The past two years have been more than an uphill struggle due to the financial climate, huge increases in production costs and a stressed market which have all lead to the business being unviable.

We have appointed Administrators, Evelyn Partners, today after spending time over the past few weeks trying to find a buyer for Cellar Head to take it onto it’s next chapter, but unfortunately, even with plenty of interest, no one was found to be willing to take that risk. Any enquiries to be directed towards [email protected]

We personally want to thank our team, supporters and every one of you who has bought a pint of Cellar Head over the years or spent time with us at the tap room. Your support, whether that was in our early days in Uckfield, over COVID when the community dug deep and supported local businesses with open arms, or more recently in spending time with us at the tap room, will ALWAYS be appreciated by us. We hope we’ve added some happiness and good times to your lives as you have to ours.

Keep supporting small independent breweries as best you can, it’s tough out there, and raise a toast to the memories!

QUICK! The sun is shining and the skies are clear! Hot foot it down to the tap room today and enjoy our national award winning English Pilsner, Cold Call along with 7 other beers on tap in cask and keg including our new release collab with Moot Brew Co, Sharp Attack.

We also have local ciders from Turners Cider and Charrington's, local wines from Carr Taylor Vineyards and Balfour Winery, local juices from Ringden Farm and soft drinks a plenty.

Join us at the tap room this weekend where you can enjoy a fresh pint of one of 7 beers on tap in the shadow of the tanks where they were brewed.

🍺 We've got lots happening on Saturday with our monthly tour of Cellar Head HQ at 12pm. With a beer in hand, we will talk you through the brewing process and introduce you to some of the malt and hops we use along with a taste of the beers currently brewing. Booking is essential via www.cellarheadbrewing.com/pages/tours

❓ Our popular quiz night kicks off at 6.30pm and there’s still a couple of tables available so get in touch to book your team in. Tap room is open as normal for non-quizzers!

🍜 Kiek in de Kook will be serving up a selection of Asian inspired favourites including their EPIC Kent Fried Chicken, Crispy Cauliflower, and a selection of gorgeous bowls: twice cooked, beer braised pork belly; smokey chicken yakitori and creamy roasted miso butternut & shio koji celeriac on rice with bright homemade ferments and sauces PLUS cheese & charcuterie boards available on Friday and Sunday.

🐣 Easter Sunday at the tap room 🐣
We are open 12-5pm with 10 beers on tap for you including our special rum infused Flapjack Oatmeal Stout, plus local wines, ciders and soft drinks. The Easter Treasure Trail fundraiser into the local woodland is a great way to stretch those legs with the kiddos (with a prize for the children upon return) and .buddies_ are back with us all day serving up their smashed burgers (personal favourite is the McGrowUp!). Chilled, relaxed bank holiday vibes guaranteed!
