We have been getting lots of people coming in asking about the pub being up for sale.
It’s getting tedious having to explain things all the time. So thought we would put out a statement
The building is owned by a hedge fund company that has decided to sell many of their properties. The chafford arms being one of them. This does not affect the “pub” side of things in way.
It’s quite normal in the pub industry for this to happen it’s just unfortunate that savills have marketed in the way that they have, and caused so much gossip and confusion,but that’s life.

So, this year, for our Christmas knitting fund raising , we chose prostate cancer . We thought it was time to help the men.
Anyway, our Christmas Day is today, and we have had our count up.
Considering the perfect storm of illnesses through December , the cost of living crisis and the snow we have managed to raise an unbelievable amount of £1310.87
We can’t thank our customers enough for their donations and our staff for helping us to raise this amount, which has been the most ever.
We are going to do another ”knitathon” for Easter and prostate cancer .
So save your pennies

For the first time this year, we decided to “knit for Easter “ .
We are once again proud and and astounded at your generosity.
A massive £1070.20 has been raised for Breast Cancer Kent.
We cannot thank you enough.
You are all fantastic ###

We want to say a huge “thank you” to all customers and friends for all the generous donations to breast cancer kent
As you all know this was a special appeal this time as we lost a very special lady this year .
We were not expecting a huge amount as the footfall this year has been down on previous years for obvious reasons.
We were surprised , grateful , overwhelmed and humbled to collect £1248.51. I actually can’t believe it.

Unfortunately, due to a family bereavement we will be closed on Tuesday 18th, Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th May. We will be back to normal pre-covid hours on Friday 21st May.

Hello everyone,

Just to keep you all up to date,

We are reopening, outside only obviously,on Friday 30th April .

Bookings are being taken if you want to come along.

Tables are well spaced out as always, but just to let you know, there is no gazebo, marquee, tent, awning, hut ,shed , plastic bubble or any other inside -outside contraption that can be thought of. Just your normal parasols. 😁

It has always been important to us to give good service and attend to all your needs in a quick and efficient way, so bearing this in mind, tables will be limited to keep our own standards up to scratch.
