🎭 MEET THE CAST | HEIDI HANSEN 💙

Next up, it’s time to meet Bryony, who plays Evan’s mum, Heidi Hansen.

Heidi is doing everything she can to keep life moving - juggling work, studying and being a mum, while desperately trying to stay connected to a son who seems to be slipping further away from her.

As with all our Meet the Cast videos, Bryony tells us how she first found her way into musical theatre, reveals her favourite song from the show, and answers the question we’re asking our cast throughout this series…

💙 WORLD SU***DE PREVENTION DAY 💙

Today, on World Su***de Prevention Day, we’re reminded why some of the conversations at the heart of Dear Evan Hansen matter far beyond the stage.

Loneliness. Mental health. Feeling unseen. The pressure to pretend everything is okay. And, perhaps most importantly, the difference that connection and reaching out can make.

That’s why we’re incredibly proud to be supporting Man Down Cornwall throughout our production.

Man Down provides safe spaces across Cornwall where men can come together, talk, listen and support one another - helping to break down the stigma that can still prevent people from saying, “I’m struggling.”

During our show week, we’ll be holding a retiring collection to support their work and help them continue being there for men across our communities. 💙

Theatre can entertain us, but it can also start conversations - and this is a conversation worth having.

It’s time to meet Matt Watters, who takes on the role of Connor Murphy in our production of Dear Evan Hansen.

Connor is a character at the very heart of the story - complicated, misunderstood and leaving behind far more questions than answers.

🎭 MEET THE CAST | LARRY MURPHY💙

Next up, in our meet the cast segments… Gavin Dalziel, who takes on the role of Larry Murphy in our production of Dear Evan Hansen.

Larry is a father trying to navigate unimaginable grief in the only way he knows how. While Cynthia searches for something to hold onto, Larry’s instinct is often to keep his emotions buried and try to remain strong for his family.

But as the story unfolds, we begin to see what’s really going on beneath the surface. 💙

💛 OUR OCTOBER 2027 MUSICAL… 9 TO 5💛

This is an announcement that, just a few days ago, we imagined sharing very differently.

For some time, plans have been quietly underway for our October 2027 production of 9 to 5 The Musical, with a considerable amount of work and planning already taking place behind the scenes.

Following the incredibly sad news of Dolly Parton’s passing, we have spent the last few days considering whether this was still the right time to make this announcement - or even whether we should reconsider our plans altogether.

But the more we thought about it, the more we came back to what sits at the heart of this show: Dolly’s unmistakable music, her incredible songwriting and the legacy of a truly iconic performer whose influence reached far beyond the stage and screen, and who spent so much of her career lifting others up.

And so, rather than stepping away from a production we had already become so excited about, we want to embrace the opportunity to celebrate that legacy.

✨ In October 2027, we’ll be clocking in for 9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL!✨

With music and lyrics by the incomparable Dolly Parton, this hilarious, uplifting and empowering musical is packed with huge characters, brilliant comedy and, of course, that iconic title number.

Our production may still be over a year away, but a lot of love and planning has already gone into it - and following last week’s sad news, it will undoubtedly now hold an even greater significance for all of us.

We hope that when the time comes, you’ll join us in celebrating the music and extraordinary legacy of a true icon. 💛

October 2027 - it’s time to pour ourselves a cup of ambition. ☕✨

🎭 NOW TAKING TO THE STAGE!💙

Following the announcement that Dear Evan Hansen will now be performed at the Redannick Theatre, it felt like the perfect time to move our rehearsals from the rehearsal space and onto the stage itself!

With our new performance space confirmed, the team have been getting a feel for the stage, making use of the space and starting to see how the show will come to life in its new home.
