Join us for Movie Monday and The Boat That Rocked: a brilliantly British mix of pirate radio, glorious music, questionable decisions and men making complete fools of themselves at sea.

Tonight, the Budgie Smugglers plucked Sarah—an unsuspecting lady who was quietly living her best life—from the audience to sing Teenage Dirtbag.
Whatever prompted the decision, she absolutely smashed it, taking to the microphone with the confidence of a woman who had simply been waiting all evening for someone to recognise her headline potential.
Another brilliant night with the Budgie Smugglers—consistently stellar, gloriously chaotic and never afraid to outsource the lead vocals. Although, secretly, we hope they don't make a habit of it!

Yes, we know this is late. In fact, at this point, calling this a “promotion” is wildly optimistic.
But here’s the important thing… The Budgie Smugglers are on tonight!
Ok, so we might have left the advertising until today, but it’s certainly not too late to deliver a brilliant night of live music, big tunes, good vibes and a dance floor that deserves to be used. Expect some energy. Get ready to sing along. Expect a few questionable dance moves.
We may be late in telling you about it, but you will be so very glad you came.

Movie Mondays return to the Harbour Club on Monday 7 September—and will continue every Monday thereafter.
We begin with My House in Umbria, starring the wonderful Maggie Smith. Set against the beauty of the Italian countryside, it’s a warm and moving story of strangers brought together by tragedy, friendship and hope.
Come and enjoy a film on the big screen with friends, neighbours and people you normally only recognise because they’re attached to a dog. Settle in, grab a drink from the bar and enjoy a thoroughly civilised evening—once everyone has fought over the best seats and remembered that talking during the film is still talking, even if you whisper.

One of the Meat Raffle prizes is always a Full Cornish Breakfast Box—including bacon, sausages and even beans. Yes, beans. A bold addition that will divide the village into two camps: essential breakfast ingredient or unwelcome tomato-based contamination.

We’ve opened the cupboards—and frankly, things have got out of hand.
Old Harbour Club merchandise, books, DVDs, glasses and an intriguing assortment of objects nobody remembers buying will all be looking for new homes. There are no sensible prices. Make us an offer and there’s every chance we’ll let you take it away.

After the glorious chaos of Regatta, it’s a suspiciously quiet week at the Harbour Club. A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a fabulous weekend. Despite the weather’s best efforts, the Regatta team—and everyone involved—put on a superb few days. Rain stopped absolutely nobody. It merely made the dancing more hazardous. This week, we’re gently easing ourselves back into normality:

The Payback are getting everyone onto the dance floor tonight with Modjo’s Lady (Hear Me Tonight). Although at this volume, Lady can’t hear anyone. It’s peak Regatta: the Club is packed, the music is loud, and some increasingly ambitious dance moves are being attempted. Several people have discovered a rhythm they didn’t know they had. Others are carrying on perfectly happily without one. No dance injuries have been reported so far—but it’s still early. What a fabulous Regatta weekend!

Saturday evening starts with the brilliant St Dennis Band filling the village with music, followed by Broken Down playing outside The Plume at 8 pm. And thereafter, The Payback in the Club from 10 pm.
They promise good times and a full dance floor—and, as this is peak Regatta, we fully intend to deliver both with absolutely no regard for dignity, sensible footwear or tomorrow morning.
From 10 pm, expect brilliant music, wildly optimistic dance moves and an entire room dancing like nobody’s watching… despite practically the whole village watching.
This is not the night for standing politely at the edge of the dance floor holding everyone’s coats. Get involved, Portscatho.
No judgement. No inhibitions. No dancing ability required.
