You may even see your dinner being landed on the harbourside. Long, chilled-out days on the Cornish coast are officially back.

When the sun shines, we love nothing more than to open the doors, set the terrace tables, and pour our favourite bottle of something chilled.

Our menus place a strong emphasis on the incredible local seafood available right on our shoreline, alongside fresh seasonal produce.

From light set-lunches to evening cocktails and feasts designed to share, we know exactly where we’ll be spending our summer. Tap the link in our bio to book your terrace table.

Arrivals, elevated.

This past bank holiday Sunday, we welcomed some very special guests to St Mawes in unforgettable style as they joined us for a beautiful lunch on the terrace in the blazing Sunday sun. Onlookers and local seafarers were treated to the spectacular sight of a Grumman HU-16 Albatross seaplane gliding into Falmouth Bay, right outside the St Mawes Castle.

Whether our guests arrive by classic car, boat, or seaplane, we love witnessing the journey just as much as hosting the stay. It has us wondering... how will our next guests arrive?

The Art of Slowing Down. We believe the best holidays aren't measured in hours, but in moments of stillness. From the rhythmic ease of a day spent harbour-side, to sundown starting on the terrace and leading into a night at The Reef Knot Restaurant, we’ve curated a space where you can finally pause.

That familiar feeling begins the second you enter our village; a rush of coastal calm that signals you’ve arrived exactly where you’re meant to be. Whether you’re arriving for the first time or returning to familiar shores, St Mawes has a way of feeling like home.

A note from the water’s edge...

Sometimes, the best way to move forward is simply to pause and reflect. We created our ‘Wine, Dine & Unwind’ escape for those moments when you need to swap the noise of the everyday for the rhythm of the sea.

Imagine arriving at a chilled bottle of Trevibban Mill wine in your room, followed by a Seafood Tasting Menu for two as the sun glimmers across the water. After a restful night in your bespoke bedroom, wake to harbour views and a full Cornish breakfast. It is everything a coastal retreat should be, and we’ve saved a seat just for you.

Our spring dates are filling quickly; please click the link in our bio to choose your stay.

The Roseland Peninsula is your playground, and we’ve created the perfect way to discover its secrets.

Our ‘Roseland Explorer’ escape is for those who find peace in the path less travelled. Imagine a day spent navigating hidden coves and salt-air trails, or discovering the local history, all fueled by a chef-prepared picnic to enjoy on the cliffs.

The best part? Returning to the harbour’s edge for a chilled drink and dinner as the sun dips below the horizon. It’s the perfect blend of wild Cornwall and Idle Rocks luxury.
