🚨 WE NEED YOUR VOICE: Is Saturday Night Music Under Threat? 🚨
To our amazing community, regulars, and friends,
We need to have an honest conversation with you all. Since the day we opened, Saturday night music has been a staple of who we are. We love bringing life, laughter, and entertainment to this town. But right now, our weekend evenings are under serious threat.
Lately, we’ve been hit with multiple noise complaints from residents living across the canal.
We want to be clear: We follow every single rule to keep the peace.
🚫 We do NOT host live music outside (as much as we’d love to).
🚪 We keep our doors tightly shut during performances—even in the dead of summer heat.
🏡 When we knocked on our immediate neighbors' doors to check in, they told us that with their windows closed, they can’t hear a thing.
Yet, we are being told that people sitting peacefully in our garden, or the muffled sound of music crossing an entire body of water, is a "disturbance."
The Double Standard
It is incredibly frustrating to watch the town council host massive live music festivals, neighboring pubs host live music, and local businesses throw canal parties with zero issues. Yet, the moment we try to survive, we get targeted.
The hospitality industry is already on its knees. We are doing everything we can to keep our doors open, but the council is putting unrealistic pressure on us. If this keeps up, we will be forced to cancel our weekend music completely. And honestly, without it, there is barely a point to us opening on weekend evenings.
We love this town, and we don't want to go quiet. But we need to know where our community stands.
🗳️ COMMUNITY POLL:
Please cast your vote and leave a comment below so we can show the council how the community actually feels!
Option 1: Save our Saturdays! The music isn't a problem and the pub deserves to survive. 🎶
Option 2: I live nearby and the noise has never bothered me. 👍
Option 3: I think the music should stop. 🔇
