Are you the perfect drummer?
Project 50 keep chewing through drummers, whcih is odd because we are all lovely and we sound great and are doing something different.
Let me take this opportunity to describe the perfect drummer, then you can cut it out in cardboard and hold it up to yourself and see if you fit.
Like Rock and Roll and Punk Rock, happy to combine the two, think that's called Punk'n'Roll if you like labels.
Don't take yourself too seriously. We are playing in pubs and festivals around Devon.
Able to adjust volume for the venue, seriously we played somewhere with a 95Db max (which they didn't tell us about until we started playing), crashing on to your snare like you are doing the chair fight off the ropes in WWE, is not always appropriate.
Not in it for the money, we probably get paid less than the bar staff each. Strings cost a tenner, petrol is more expensive than wh***ey and the bars are drying up.
Able to start a song, learn the stuctures and play fills on changes. ( I will write out all the song structures for you if you want)
Keep time.
Able to rehearse. Not a lot, but enough that we keep improving, starts/stops gaps all that stuff makes it better.
Agree with our enemies list: "Lars, Nigel, Donald, Abba, Coldpay, Radiohead"
Agree with our friends list: "Henge, DK, Sha Na Na, Showaddywaddy, Ramones"
We have published music on our page, you can see what we look like and what we do there. facebook.com/project50band
Please save us from a drum machine, the guitarist is actively learning how these things work and time is ticking.
