Have your say on the impact of The Air Hostess on community spirit and involvement!

We know that shareholders might be a bit survey-ed out after the AGM but the Management Committee of Tollerton Flying Club, as part of the planning for the pub’s future, have teamed up with
independent social enterprise PatchWorks to gather feedback on how the pub is contributing to community life.

This includes measuring how well it achieves the community aims — from bringing people together and reducing isolation, to supporting the local economy and shaping the future of the village.

The survey takes 2-3 minutes to complete and is open to everyone — whether you regularly visit the pub or not, whether you're a shareholder or not or even if you don't live in the village.

All responses are anonymous and will be used to inform future planning and development of the pub and its role within the village. The survey closes 31st May.

We hope you had a fabulous festive period and 2026 is treating you well so far. The pub was incredibly busy throughout December - we hope everyone managed to get a table for a meal or a pint at some point! We all know how hard the hospitality trade is at the moment so please, now that Dry January is over, think about popping in if you can to support your local welcoming pub.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for Tollerton Flying Club is being held on Sunday 22nd March at 6.30pm in the pub. Tollerton Flying Club is the organisation that owns the Air Hostess . Thanks to the investment of shareholders we could buy the pub back in 2020 and protect it for the community.

The AGM is the chance for shareholders to discuss how the pub should support the community. This is the official notification of the meeting.

If you're a shareholder you can come along and hear about how the pub is doing and what Mark and Rach's plans are for the year ahead. You'll also be able to hear about how the surplus from the Flying Club's activities has supported local community events over the last 12 months.

You will also have your chance to ask any questions and make suggestions about the future of the pub and the Flying Club. Please do think if there are things that you want to raise with the management committee either before or at the AGM itself.

And on the night we'll be doing a prize draw for shareholders to win a £50 and a £25 voucher to spend in the pub - which we do every month but this time will be happening live in front of your eyes!

🎄Your Village Christmas Pub Events

There are masses of festive events going on linked to your community pub over the next month (34 days 'til Christmas don't you know...) - so read on to learn about what's going on.

In particular you can look forward to the 'Christmas Cracker' (12th December), Christmas Carols (14th December), Christmas Quiz Night (21st December) - and of course the New Years Day Walk (errr, 1st January).

🎯 Charity Darts Marathon

But before all of that - this coming Monday (24th November) sees the pub's chefs - Kev and Sam - undertake a 12 hour darts marathon for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The lads have been putting in some serious practice ready for their long stint at the oche - and it all kicks off at 11am on Monday.

They’d really appreciate your support to raise as much money as possible for MacMillan Cancer Support.

If you got a bit of spare change rattling round in your pocket there is a donation bucket in the bar or alternatively you can donate via this link.

And if you fancy coming down to cheer them on then that would also be appreciated!

🎉 'Christmas Cracker' - Friday 12th December 3.30pm

Come down for an evening of family fun - featuring Santa's Grotto, carols round the beacon and lots of fun and games.

The pub will be open as normal and will have an outside food stall serving Hot Turkey Cobs, Hot Dogs, Roast Poatoes and of course mulled wine!

🎶 Christmas Carols - Sunday 14th December 7.00pm

Did you know that Nottingham Operatic Society have been around since 1893? So we're really lucky that they will be providing the music to support the Christmas Carol concert this year! Do come along and give your lungs and everyone's ears a treat in the run-up to Christmas.

🤓 Christmas Quiz Night - Sunday 21st December 7.00pm

Christmas isn't just about exercising your stomach muscles you know - you also need to give those grey cells a small workout. Many of you will have finished work for the season by this time so why not get a team together and come down for some friendly competition? Max 6 people per team and £2.50 entry fee per person. Proceeds will be split between the winners and The Stroke Association. Plus - prizes for the best Christmas jumper and best team name.

🚶New Years Day Walk - 1st January 2026 1.30pm

The big one. Shake off the hangover. Drag yourself out the house. Bring your friends and family. Bring the dog. Wear your new boots that you got for Christmas (optional, it will probably be muddy).

Five and a half miles across South Nottinghamshire's finest (little) hills with a warming bowl of stew to welcome you back to the pub. All the proceeds from the sale of the stew go to EMICS - the volunteer emergency doctors service that provide vital assistance to the East Midlands Ambulance Service at the scene of life threatening emergencies.

Well it seems like the weather is going to be kind to us after all, so we thought we’d give you an update on our Easter Sunday plans. 🐣
Timings for our fun day on Sunday are as follows
PIZZA 🍕 OVEN - 1pm - 6pm
BOUNCY CASTLE - From 1pm
EASTER EGG HUNT - 3pm
SINGER - 6pm

The pizza 🍕 oven will also be on this evening 3.30pm-8pm
There is no pizza on Saturday
