The power has gone out on Dale Street and we are included in that power line.

HOWEVER our emergency lighting is on and we are still pouring! (We’ve managed to silence the beeping from the alarm box)

As with most hospitality Saturday is our best revenue time so we would appreciate any custom for the rest of evening.

We work really hard on our b**r selections and quality so it’s great to be in the GBG for the second time running (bearing in mind we are only two years open!)

Not mentioned in the entry is we also have a great range in our fridge aswell.

WE NOW HAVE 17 KEG LINES!!!

We have added two dedicated Nitro lines with the different gas set up and these are the first two b**rs to feature on those lines.

Finding foxes all over!

Trip over to Hideaway tasting some great b**rs and getting to know a bit more about them.

They have a great tap room there serving food and of course, excellent b**r.

Like I said, it’s tough work choosing b**rs for The Fox……

Testing our newest collab with the amazing Trail Brew Co. We were discussing whether to add an extra dry hop at the end and as usual Liam’s suggestion was spot on.

Our Spring / Summer collab, Craggy Fox, will soon be leaving the b**r board to be replaced by an autumnal amber ale, perfect for this season.

More details to follow soon about the launch.

We’ve also restocked the fridge with plenty more cans and bottles - there’s more than a full double shelf for sours from Yonder, Vault City and Neptune/Nightjar aswell as a range of b**rs from Wild Horse which have been very popular on keg when we’ve had them on.

The price list sheet has been changed to list by brewery alphabetically and also show the ABV, style, price and whether they are GF, V, Ve, A/F etc

We’ve also got some b**rs on clearance just as you come in on the shelving. They have gone past their best before date officially but as we all know there’s still a long time left in them - clearing at £2.50 (take home only).

Finally we are now up to 17 keg lines having had two more installed today and we will let you all know what will be going on those when the selections are in.

What an amazing day yesterday for the Ossett Tap Takeover.

Huge thanks to Alex from Ossett Brewery who did an amazing job keeping everyone entertained with splat the rat (he gave away lots of pints to people who won and merch to the non winners including stickers, t shirts, bar runners and cans of Ossett b**r).

We put on the temporary tattoos he had (not sure how temporary they are as mine is stuck there firmly!).

Visitors came from all over as far as New South Wales (3 of the 4 Aussies splatted the rat - I assume they’ve had practice with some of the scary creepy crawlers over there 🙈) - it’s lovely to see travellers making a special stop at The Fox.

It’s a lot of work behind the scenes prepping for a tap takeover from choosing the b**rs to planning the lines and moving kegs and casks around ready. Toby is shattered!

Earlier in the day we also had a fantastic crowd in from Manchester (and Ukraine) who were really interested in craft b**r and starting their craft b**r crawl with a trip to us. They are organising a supply run to Ukraine so we have offered to help however we can and so if anyone has any good fundraising ideas let us know.

Note that we have decided to close this Bank Holiday Monday for a few reasons mainly weather related but also some of you know that I (Naomi) had a suspected TIA on 10th August and R&R has to come before work when things like that happen even when there is good b**r about.

If you want to stock up on cans to take home for the weekend don’t forget there is 10% off for takeaway.
