🍺 We know how much you guys love the epic Degrees Below the Horizon from and to celebrate Mark brewing up another masterpiece, we’ve invited him along this Saturday for a special launch/meet the brewer event.

🤤 His latest beer - an 8% cryo DIPA called Echoes Through the Void - has been brewed to mark the bicentennial of the Weaver’s Uprising in 1826 and the idea that what came before still shapes what comes next.

With an ABV of 8% and brewed with Mosaic, Krush and Idaho 7, it delivers a layered hop profile of ripe tropical fruit, citrus and soft stone fruit, underpinned by a subtle resinous edge. Full-bodied and smooth, with enough bitterness to keep it balanced and drinkable.

🥳 Plus… we’ve got the first ever (and so far only!) cask of the OG Degrees Below the Horizon which we’re convinced is going to be ridiculously special!

👍🏻 Fun starts at 2pm with free samples and Mark on hand to chat about beer, life and anything else you might fancy!

⚽️ The BEER NECESSITIES FOOTBALL PUB QUIZ returns in June for TWO special WORLD CUP editions! The biggest FIFA World Cup ever demands the biggest Beer Necessities Football Pub Quiz ever, so join us on Tuesday 2nd and Tuesday 9th June from 6:30 as part time barman/part time quizmaster Ben - aka - will test your knowledge of the biggest sporting occasion on earth, with prizes to be won!

Night One on Tuesday 2nd June will cover:
- Football, fascism and fashion - World Cups from 1930 to 1974
- Winners & Losers
- Sounds of the World Cup

Night Two on Tuesday 9th June will cover:
- Soccer, shocks and silliness - World Cups from 1978 to 2022
- British teams in the World Cup
- World Cup iconography

🎟️ Tickets to enter are a mere £3, with teams limited to a size of four. These events WILL sell out, so buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment!

🍺 There will be prizes for the best international football shirt worn on the night, and anyone who wants to go “full kit w*nker” will be rewarded with a drink of their choice!

🏥 All proceeds for the event will be donated to the neonatal unit at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

What a fantastic afternoon we’ve had with the fans celebrating their dramatic 103rd minute equaliser at Rochdale to win them the championship!
And we’ve had a few Rochdale fans in drowning their sorrows. An unbelievable effort from both teams to get over 100 points for the season! 👏🏻

⚫️ Not only are we officially launching Toucan Play That Game, our fantastic nitro stout with Rooster’s Brewing Co., with some fun and games, some tasters and some giveaways…
… but we’ve also got an EXCLUSIVE first pour of Rooster’s latest Assassin beer - Double Hazy Assassin!!
It’s a 7.4% hazy tropical IPA and it’s gonna be epic! 🕶️
🍺 There’s only ourselves and Rooster's Taproom in Harrogate going to have it on the taps this weekend so come along and grab a pint while you can! (And then boast to your mates that you’ve sampled the good stuff before they have!)
