A little update from The White Horse… and some exciting plans for what comes next! 🐴
We’ll be honest: things haven’t always been quite right in our kitchen recently. We know that some of you have been disappointed, and we’re genuinely sorry. We’ve listened to your feedback, and we’re determined to get The White Horse back to the warm, welcoming village pub we all want it to be.
Until we have the right permanent kitchen team in place, we’re keeping things simple and doing them well. At lunchtimes, we’ll be serving a smaller menu of freshly made sandwiches, light bites and tasty bar snacks.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings will bring something a little different, with a changing selection of pop-up kitchens joining us. Expect some brilliant food, plenty of variety and a good excuse to gather your friends for a drink! We’ll share each pop-up and its menu on our page.
And fear not—our traditional Sunday roasts aren’t going anywhere! We’ll still be serving a proper roast with all the trimmings every Sunday.
We’re also making the most of this quieter spell by getting the paintbrushes out and giving the pub and restaurant some much-needed love. We have some significant and exciting improvements planned, and we can’t wait for you to see The White Horse looking its best again.
There will be lots to share over the coming weeks: new food, visiting kitchens, decorating progress and, hopefully, the beginning of a really positive new chapter for our lovely pub.
Thank you for sticking with us, for sharing your honest feedback and for continuing to pop in for a pint and a chat. We appreciate your support more than you know—and we’re excited about what’s ahead.
