Frilly shirted New Romantics of the 80s!..and so much more, in a playlist of over 90 tracks!

THREE MORE SLEEPS UNTIL WE PUMP UP THE 90s IN TAUNTON!

This is the session we’ve been asked about more than any other, and while a lot of the requests we’ve received so far have been for “the usual suspects” including the dance floor classics you expect, here’s another toe tapper which isn’t electro based….and what a corker it is, creeping in at the tail end of the 90s, scoring a top 20 hit with ‘Disco Down’, SHED SEVEN! It’s one of those tracks we love to play…the type you recognise, remember you loved back in the day, but can’t for the life of you remember what it’s called or who it’s by!!

ATTENTION SOMERSET FANS OF 90s MUSIC!

There's not long to go until the PUMP club night lots of you have been waiting for.....THE 90s!

Yes, the date to mark in your calendar (if you haven't already?!) is Saturday 06 June at The Lawns Taunton from 7.30pm. Tickets have been flying, and the requests coming in thick and fast, which is just as well considering it's a FIVE HOUR club night!

Casting my eye over what people want, we see dance in the shape of ROZALLA, THE KLF, ROBERT MILES, UTAH SAINTS, MOBY, FAITHLESS and DEE-LITE, there's pop courtesy of HANSON, CHER, SIMPLY RED, SPICE GIRLS and TAKE THAT, synthy stuff from OMD, PET SHOP BOYS, DEPECHE MODE, THE HUMAN LEAGUE and ERASURE, soulful sounds from TEXAS, TINA TURNER, MICHAEL JACKSON and BOBBY BROWN, and an indie / baggy / rocky mix of BLUR, DODGY, HAPPY MONDAYS, PRIMAL SCREAM, REM, SUEDE, THE CURE, STEREO MCs and OASIS.....but that lot barely scratches the surface! DISCO DANCERS OF TAUNTON! How do you fancy winning Easter goodies?!

PUMP SESSIONS: JULY to DECEMBER '26

We've finally settled on our themes for the rest of the year - have a look to see if any of them grab your fancy!

The Christmas session will be a pick 'n' mix of all the Pumps, from the 60s right through to the 90s, taking in motown, synthpop, disco, goth, new wave, girl bands, boy bands and everything else in-between!

Tickets for all sessions will go on sale sometime in June.

** IMPORTANT! re. The Christmas Session - don't be the one who messages us for tickets a few days prior wondering why the session sold out weeks and weeks ago! Early purchase is always strongly recommended. You can't get any earlier than a March heads-up and an on-sale date in June!

TAUNTON - Easter is coming...and so is your next 80s night!

Mark your diary and grab your ticket, because PUMP UP THE 80s returns for another five hour feast of classic tunes on Saturday 04 April from 7.30pm at The Lawns Taunton!

This is a do-not-miss club night featuring juggernaut hits, floor-filling favourites, and familiar tunes you forget 40+ years later who sang them but you DO remember you actually loved it back in the day....yes, we'll be covering as many bases as possible, from synth to ska, from soul to indie and so much more besides!

This is a club night for those who Just Can't Get Enough (!) 80s music, and who just love to dance!

TAUNTON! Let's PUMP UP THE 90s!

PUMP finally pays attention to the decade that brought us THE SPICE GIRLS, TAKE THAT, BLUR and OASIS....to name but four obvious examples - but WHAT examples they are...just think about the tracks that dominated the charts...Parklife....Wonderwall...Wannabe....Pray...the list goes on...

Maybe you preferred the synthy dancefloor sounds of MOBY, THE KLF, ROBERT MILES, THE SHAMEN, FAITHLESS, SASH....

Or how about the indie rock / pop of THE CARDIGANS, THE LIGHTNING SEEDS, THE VERVE, CROWDED HOUSE...

Boy bands were ten a penny, girl bands were all over the shop, cheesy smash hit singles crawled their way into your skull (I'm looking at YOU, 'Barbie Girl', and ABSOLUTELY YOU 'Saturday Night')...the decade whizzed by!

Let's go on a five hour 90's club night frenzy, bringing back the best of the decade, and, ok, a bit of the cheese too!

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN…..I declare it to be….a PUMP WEEKEND!

That’s right, Pump returns to The Lawns Taunton on Saturday 31 January for the first in a new series of themed five hour club nights, and getting us underway is a celebration of classic funk, soul, r&b and pop from the glitterball years of the 70s and 80s!
