🍻 A Quick One Regarding The Carling 🍻

We’ve had a one or two comments recently saying the Carling tastes different between the pubs… so today we had the Coors technician out to fully check the system at The Red Lion.

After testing the lines, cellar temperatures, gas pressures and the product itself, everything was confirmed to be spot on ✅

The technician was more than happy with BOTH pubs and confirmed there is absolutely no issue with the quality of the Carling being served.

At the end of the day, everyone is entitled to their opinion — but unfortunately once a couple of people start saying something, it soon becomes “fact” in the pub world 😂

We work hard to keep both pubs serving quality beer and take it seriously whenever anything is mentioned, which is exactly why we got it professionally checked straight away.

So the verdict is in…

The Carling is absolutely fine 🍺👍

🎄 TARVIN… YOU SMASHED IT! 🎄

A HUGE thank you to everyone involved in organising the Tarvin Christmas Markets — what an unbelievable job you all did.
The whole village looked magical… even the Grinch would’ve cracked a smile! ⭐️

It was amazing to see so many people out enjoying themselves, and a massive thank you to everyone who popped by our stall and visited both pubs.
We’re not going to lie… we’re absolutely shattered today 🤣🤣 but it was worth every second!

Also — if you went home missing something, give us a call.
We’ve got a small collection of treasures including:
🐾 A cat brooch
💳 A couple of bank cards
🧦 And… one brand new pack of ladies’ tights 🤣🤣
(We’d love to hear the story behind that one!)

Only 25 days until the big man arrives 🎅
So let the countdown — and the chaos — begin!

🐾 A LITTLE DOGGY NOTICE FROM US… 🐾
George & Dragon & The Red Lion

We’re proud to be dog-friendly pubs — we’ve got our own furry regulars and we love seeing your four-legged pals come through the door.
BUT… as much as you adore your little muddy monster, not everyone else feels the same way! 😂

So from today, a gentle reminder:

🐕 Dogs are absolutely welcome — but must be kept on a lead at all times.
Not everyone appreciates being unexpectedly licked, nudged, sniffed, slobbered on or mounted mid-Sunday lunch.

🪑 Dogs are NOT allowed on the furniture.
We can’t believe we even have to say this, but here we are. It’s wet, it’s muddy, and nobody wants to sit down after your dog’s just used the furniture as a towel.
Plus… who honestly wants to leave covered in someone else’s dog hair? 🐶✨

We love having a pub where everyone feels comfortable — dog owners, non-dog owners, and the humans who just want to enjoy their pint without a wet nose in it.
