Located on the site of one of the last complete medieval battlegrounds in Europe, the Rockingham Arms pub is a popular spot for tourists who come to walk around the signposted Towton Battlefield, famously known for playing host to the bloody Battle of Towton in 1461. You can walk the trail at any time of year, even as part of a guided tour, which you can book via the Towton Battlefield Society Web

Serving home-made, tasty pub classics, real cask ale and traditional Sunday Roasts, The Rock is a dog-friendly venue with two private function rooms and a personable team of staff ready to make your visit an enjoyable one. We cater for allergies, functions, large groups and intimate family gatherings, as well as business meetings, birthday celebrations and so much more! Vegetarian dishes are available, as well as items created using free-from gluten ingredients. We may however need a little advanced notice to cater for vegans.
