It is with very heavy hearts that we share the sad news that Alan Clarke sadly passed away yesterday.

Alan was a familiar face and a valued friend to many at The Dog & Gun, Syston. His presence, stories, laughter and friendship will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. The pub won’t feel quite the same without him.

Our thoughts, love and deepest condolences go out to Alan’s family, friends and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

From all of us at The Dog & Gun, Syston — we’re sending our love and raising a glass to a truly good man. You’ll always have a place here, Alan. 🍻❤️
