One of the wildest things about breastfeeding is that moms aren't completely joking when they say, "Let me nurse the baby."

When your baby is exposed to a virus, their saliva interacts with your breast during nursing. Your immune system gets information about what your baby is fighting and begins producing targeted antibodies. Your milk is constantly changing, adapting, and responding in real time.

So yes... scientifically speaking...
Baby: sneezes once
Me: "I volunteer as tribute."
Because if there's even a tiny chance my b***s are out here running intelligence operations, gathering battlefield data, and deploying customized reinforcements, then we're going in. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚

Motherhood is weird.
Breastfeeding is weirder.
And breastfeeding moms will absolutely unhook a bra faster than a superhero hearing a distress call.

πŸ’‘ One of the most common breastfeeding myths is that frequent nursing means you don't have enough milk.

In reality, newborns are designed to nurse often.

Their stomachs are tiny. Breast milk is digested quickly. And breastfeeding is about so much more than calories. It's hydration. Comfort. Regulation. Connection. Pain relief. Immune support. Reassurance that their favorite person is still nearby.

So when your baby wants to nurse again 45 minutes after a feeding, it doesn't automatically mean your body is failing.

It often means your baby is doing exactly what babies were designed to do.
