✨ CLOSING ANNOUNCEMENT ✨

This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write, but after a lot of thought and with rising costs and dwindling numbers making it impossible to continue, I’ve made the incredibly painful decision to close Eagles for good. Sunday will be the final evening of trading.

From now until then, it’s officially drink the bar dry week so when it’s gone, it’s gone (except for the house spirits). There is never an easy time to say goodbye. And as the shutters fall for the last time, the tears will be streaming down my face. This bar has been my heart, my home, and something I poured every part of myself into.

Thank you to everyone who shared a moment, a laugh, a drink, or a night here. Every memory means something to me. Even though things didn’t turn out the way I hoped, I’m grateful for the journey and for the people who became part of it along the way. I have made friends for life and met people who have changed my life.

I know this feels sudden, and I’m truly sorry for the shock. This decision hasn’t been easy, but it’s the right time for me to close this chapter.

But tomorrow, I will still be doing my pub quiz and the amazing Carriesauce will be performing on Saturday and bringing the entertainment.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support our World AIDS Day fundraiser last night.

Our incredible drag performers absolutely smashed it …the energy, the talent, the community spirit… it was everything, and I loved every second of it.

Together, we’ve raised £100 for the National AIDS Trust so far, and that money will go directly towards supporting people living with HIV and funding vital awareness work.

The red ribbon donation box will remain on the bar until we close on Sunday, so if you haven’t grabbed your ribbon yet, or want to pop in and add to the total, please do. Every pound genuinely makes a difference.

Thank you for showing up, for giving, and for helping keep the spirit of solidarity alive.
