Situated in the picturesque village of Upper Cwmtwrch, at the foot of the Blackmountains, just 15 minutes drive from Swansea and the M4 motorway. We offer a warm and friendly welcome, home cooked food prepared using local produce, all served with a smile. Evening meals are available 7 days a week including our chefs specials board. Our Sunday lunch carvery is highly recommended, but it is wise to book as we get very busy. The pub has a very cosy atmosphere all year round but especially in the winter with our log fire burning away. At the rear of the pub we have a large beer garden overlooking the river Twrch. There’s nothing quite like gathering around a table at Christmas — enjoying delicious food, sharing stories, having a good laugh, and making memories with the people who mean the most. ❤️

From 30th November until 22nd December, we’ll be serving our Christmas Lunch Carvery Tuesday to Friday, from 12pm until 2:30pm. Come and enjoy a hearty festive feast with all the trimmings, served in the warm, friendly atmosphere of The New Tredegar Arms. 🎅🍽️

The New Tredegar Arms, Cwmtwrch, is looking for a reliable, hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our friendly kitchen team!

This is a great opportunity to become part of a busy local pub where teamwork and great food are at the heart of what we do. ❤️

🧽 Your duties will include:

• Washing and cleaning pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Operating the dishwasher and ensuring everything is cleaned and stored correctly
• Keeping the kitchen, preparation and storage areas clean and tidy
• Cleaning floors, surfaces and kitchen equipment
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste responsibly
• Assisting with basic food preparation when required
• Helping with deliveries and putting stock away
• Supporting our chefs and kitchen team wherever needed
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
• Following health & safety procedures and reporting any issues
• Helping to keep the kitchen running smoothly during busy services

👥 We’re looking for someone who is:
