I just found this on my memories. It was a post from the legendary Mike Tramp. It was way back in 2015 when Mike played the Diamond but it still holds strong today:) We have a fantastic team 11 years on and I'm proud to be part of it and the amazing family and friends I get to work with who all have a massive part in running our venue. ❤️ www.thediamonduk.com

Just when I didn't think it could get any better, or for the matter be any more special. I play the Diamond in Sutton.
This place is run by father and daughter Gary and Zoe, two wonderful people passionately dedicated to music and creating a fantastic environment in the club, this is almost like Graceland.
It is as legendary as The Wh***ey a Go-Go in Los Angeles or L'amorus in Brooklyn, but maybe not that famous to the rest of all, but I wish there were a venue like this in every town or city. This is a home full of love where music lives and breathe from the walls, floors and ceilings, and I wish them all the best and hope the place will always be there, and definitely promise to be back next year. Not to forget all the fans who came to be part of yet another unforgettable night on the best tour of my life. May life be good to you all.

We know change can feel hard sometimes — and we understand that more than you know. 🤍

We book new acts because we want The Diamond to stay alive, to keep growing, and to keep giving us all something wonderful to look forward to. We try so hard to move with the times, to bring fresh energy, new voices, and new memories for us all to make together. But we also know how much we love the familiar — the bands we’ve seen for years, the nights that feel like coming home. That love runs deep, and we respect that more than we can say. 💛

Please know — when we bring in something new, it’s never about replacing what we loved. It’s about adding to it. It’s about keeping our beautiful venue bright and busy and full of life for all of us. Every act we book is chosen with care, with love, and with all of you in our hearts.

We are learning too — balancing what was with what could be. We hope you’ll walk this path with us,just a little at a time. The old favourites will always have a place here, and the new ones? They might just become your next favourite thing. 🤍
