Riverside Sunderland’s Christmas market returns November 13th in collaboration with the Sunderland Light Switch on 🎄🎅🏼✨🚨‼️

The market will take place at City Hall & The Beam between 1pm - 6pm as a pre-event for the Light Switch on at Keel Square which starts at 7pm.

The market is open to the public with over 50 vendors to browse through and hot food options outside. Expect artisan cheeses and chutneys, crafts, jewellery, clothing, sweet treats, candles, wreaths and much more! 🍕🍔

All welcome to enjoy the festivities and take a look at the amazing Riverside transformation including the new Keel Crossing footbridge! 🌁🛍️

Get ready, Sunderland. The Rugby World Cup is heading our way 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏉

The best place to soak up the excitement is at the FREE Fan Zone in Keel Square. Right in the heart of the city, this lively spot will bring everyone together to celebrate our love for rugby in this proud sporting community.

Over three action packed days Keel Square will come alive with energy and anticipation, as Sunderland welcomes all sports fans with open arms.

Here's what to expect:

📆 Thursday, 21st August:

Kick off the festivities from 4:00pm to 10:00pm with Sunderland Music City. Enjoy live performances from amazing female artists like Cortney Dixon, Shannon Pearl, Lottie Willis, Kay Greyson and Du Blonde. It’s a night filled with local talent and cultural vibes.

📆 Friday, 22nd August:

The headline day runs from 9:00am until midnight, packed with rugby, music, food and fun. Test your skills with rugby themed activities like pass speed and jump height, and don’t miss out on tribute acts like Rock DJ, Mac Busted, ReTake That, Royal Rhapsody and the Rock Choir. Plus, join the fan parade to the Stadium of Light and catch the stunning fireworks over the River Wear at 10:15pm

📆 Saturday, 23rd August:

From 10:00am to 3:00pm, the Sunderland Food Festival takes over. Dive into local flavours while enjoying circus workshops, bubble acts, aerial hoop tasters, an art market, craft activities and live music curated by Music City.

Let’s do the city proud and make this Rugby World Cup one to remember. 🏟️💪🏼

Just Eat are relocating to Sunderland City Centre and are the first tenants announced in the brand new Maker & Faber office at Riverside 🥡🍕🚨

Just Eat has signed a ten-year lease for over 18,000sq ft of office space at Maker and will occupy the entire fifth floor of the building, along with part of the fourth floor and a terrace space that boasts striking views over the River Wear and out to sea.

Bosses say the move marks a shift from its previous out-of-town base and reinforces its commitment to the city centre. 📍🏢
