500 guests. Two spaces. One incredible celebration.

Umar & Maymunah’s Walima brought 500 guests to Roker, with 300 in the Ballroom and a further 200 in the Seaton Suite.

The two spaces are connected but sit across different floors, allowing a celebration of this scale to flow across two distinct settings within the same venue.

It was fantastic to see both spaces come together for such a large celebration.

Start 2027 with the people you actually want to spend it with, a table overlooking Roker seafront and a proper New Year’s Day Carvery at 1842 Café & Bistro.

A Sangeet full of colour, music and celebration. ✨

The Seaton Suite was transformed for Taren’s Sangeet, with floor seating, beautifully dressed tables and plenty of space at the heart of the room for the celebrations.

One of the best things about this space is seeing just how differently it can be used for every occasion, and this was a fantastic example.
