A couple of announcements and the most colourful garden you'll have ever seen!

1. Last call for anyone who wants beans, peas or mange tout. Runners and French beans available, but rapidly getting too big, so come ASAP if you'd like some.

2. Frances Tophill's favourite plant at Gardener's World Live is blue Cupid's Dart, otherwise known as Catananche...and we have some! £3.

A loyal customer has sent me some photos of his town centre garden. We've been hearing about his plans all spring, so it's great to see how it's coming along. Thanks Dan! It's a very happy celebration of flowers. Well done!

Have you got a little spot in a sunny border for this sweet little dwarf dicentra, 'Amore Titanium', with it's pure white flowers and grey green feathery leaves?
I'm definitely going to squeeze one in somewhere! There's always room for another plant, as soon many of our customers tell me! 😆

If white isn't your thing, look at the festival of colours amongst the dahlias now!

I've finally had a chance to spend some time in my own garden. I'm way behind, having only just stepped into it this year. I've been busy! 😁

I like the idea of our own Facebook 'open gardens'. Send me some inspirational photos or videos via Messenger or Whatsapp because I need a boost to get started in my garden! Don't mention weeds.....

I'll share them all in a post on here later in the week. (Photos with people or obvious addresses in won't be shared.)

I'm also interested in any unusual plants you have. What are your must-haves and special finds? I'm enjoying my parahebes at the moment and trying to persuade Rob to grow some.

I'm sure there are some amazing gardens between us all! 🌸🌼🌻🏵

P.S. The roses are spectacular this year aren't they!

Gryphon begonias work as summer foliage, but also lovely houseplants all year round.

This beauty was in my garden last summer, then I brought it indoors before the first frost and it's been happily growing, and even flowering, in a shady corner ever since.

To make the most of them, keep Gryphons in full shade. This brings out their silver markings. If they have sun, the green becomes paler and brighter and the silver is less apparent. I moved this one away from the windows and it's thriving. All I do is water it well when the leaves start to droop slightly, and feed it every couple of weeks.

They are just £3.

Two Sudbury stalwarts together here!

There are new planters outside Angelo Smiths, the long-standing Sudbury jewellers. I haven't looked up whether the jewellers or the nursery were established first, but safe to say we've both been around a while!

We hope you're enjoying the plants all over the town. They have a lot of growing to do through the summer, with the help of the Sudbury Town Council community wardens keeping them topped up with water and feed.

We're also responsible for many of the roundabouts and beds in Sudbury, including the one between the fire station and St Gregory's church. This one was planted a couple of years ago, and is now filling out and full of pollen and nectar for the bees and butterflies.

Look out for our contract planting in Clare, Long Melford, Bures and Great Waldingfield too! Lots of photos to come throughout the summer.

Lots of beautiful, strong dahlias for colour right through summer and autumn. These ones are just £3 each.
We still have plenty of beans, peas, mange tout, brassicas, squashes too for the veg growers.
