After 15 wonderful years of owning The White Hart, Bishops Caundle, we would like to announce that the pub has now been sold.

During our time here, we have enjoyed not only periods of running the pub ourselves, but also working alongside four sets of tenants and managers who all played a part in The White Hartโ€™s journey.

We are incredibly proud to have been part of such a valued village local and would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years โ€” customers, staff, locals, and friends alike.

We are delighted that The White Hart will continue as the great village pub it has always been, and we wish the new owners every success for the future.

We will be closing the doors for the final time on Thursday 21st May, marking the end of a very special chapter for us.

Thank you for 15 amazing years and the memories we will always treasure

Roger and Rachel have recently reviewed the opening hours at The White Hart, Bishops Caundle. Due to a lack of demand, we will now be closed on Saturday evenings.
We would like to let everyone know that we will be keeping this wonderful old pub going until the auction on 21st May.
We sincerely hope that a passionate chef or cook, along with a strong front-of-house professional, will take on The White Hart and bring it back to being a thriving, food-led pub. We truly believe that, with the right food model and enthusiasm, the Hart can once again become the fantastic pub it has been in the past.
