This time we’re taking things to Metro’s Sports and Social Club for a very special day-to-nite affair right in the BEATING HEART 🫀 of Stretford… with a cast of DASTARDLY associates… names we’ll need to steady ourselves for a bit before we can utter.

Some we’ll had the pleasure of hosting at All Nite Pawn (RIP)… but have not seen since… we hope the made it out ok… we’ve heard the rumors about what went on in the dead of night in the back room of that pawnbrokers 😬🦷

Almost exactly one year ago… our very good mateys 𝙈𝙄𝙓𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙈𝘼𝙏𝙀𝙎 played a leading role in a nite (/fever dream?) where an abandoned Boots Chemist became a part of our weird Stretford Arndale pawnbrokers / nightclub universe… with DOVE / BICEP among their fellow guests (🛌💭)

We’ve been riding about Manchester alongside the Mixing Mates for going on 10 years. Whenever we’ve come together, things have always been EXACTLY how we like them: great mates, top quality nonsense, lovely records, & proper-length sets that take you on a journey… & that’s what it’s all about really in our eyes.

… And with the ‘Stretford Pawn Index’ riding at ALL TIME HIGHS following GAY PAWN II back in August 📈 🚀… what better time to bring them back out into our neck of the woods for a nice, proper, INTIMATE vinyl session? 🫦

Because, we are thrilled to be BACK AT IT this weekend - for Manchester Pride! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Invited along to join our LONGTIME sisters from other misters; the beautiful sirens of 𝙈𝙄𝙓𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙈𝘼𝙏𝙀𝙎 - playing our a small part in their full day of q***r-focused shenanigans; celebrating every single wonderful soul in the q***r & trans community.

Q***r led parties, q***r DJS, q***r producers / artists, and q***r clubs have played a fundamental part in all of our musical awakenings (whether one chooses to accept that fact, or not), and we are of course… absolutely no exception.

Now…. Contrary to popular belief, or what you may have heard about how much we chatter on about Gay Pawn… but ESPECIALLY what you might have watched online 👀 … we would both, generally speaking, consider ourselves as straight boys. ‘Allies’, some call it. We just call it ‘being a decent human’.

We therefore hold being invited by 𝙈𝙄𝙓𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙈𝘼𝙏𝙀𝙎 to play a few records alongside them on Saturday, as the MOST honour-some, lovely, warm, and welcoming embrace - from one set of kindred spirits to another.

But sincerely now (just for a moment…), Saturday genuinely meant everything to us, at Nite School.

It was an affirmation.

And no… not just an affirmation of the fact that ‘Stretford is STILL gagging for gay pawn’…. Saturday affirmed much more to us than just that.

It was one of those nights where a beautiful dancefloor stranger leaned in to let us know us that they ‘had to keep pinching themselves’ to remember that they were actually in their favourite Stretfordian record store.

Saturday affirmed it to us; that come what may… Stretford SHOWS UP for THIS.

Big changes are happening in Stretford right now… but it’s this COMMUNITY, this SPIRIT, and this MUSIC that ties EVERYONE together 🪢
