We have some very exciting news.....
The THATCH QUIZ is back!!
We are relaunching our ever so popular quiz night on TUESDAY 3rd MAY AT 8PM!

Same rules as last time, maximum number of people in a quiz team is 6, £2 per person, and the winning team takes the pot! The more teams that enter, the bigger the pot!

What a better way to share your love than in a cosy 15th century thatched pub. Voted 2nd in the UK’s “cosiest” pub award by Trip Advisor, The Old Thatch Tavern is an ideal romantic and cosy place to enjoy a fabulous meal, a lovely log fire and candle light.
Our normal menu is available but the chefs have created a special offering to enhance the occasion.
You can start with Chicken Satay skewers with sweet chilli sauce, followed by a delicious 6oz fillet steak with all the trimmings OR pan-fried Sea Bass served with mashed potatoes tender stem broccoli, poached egg and a smooth delicious hollandaise sauce. Finally enjoy white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake with vanilla ice cream and raspberry coulis.

It's difficult hiring the right people for a small family run business. We are good employers and have an excellent long serving team but WE NEED MORE HELP. Coming out of lock down has been a slow process but we have kept our standards high, our welcome warm, with an optimistic out look for our future. However, to grow the business back to the pre covid success we had, we are looking for like minded people to join us.
