Everyone at Dixie’s Bar sends sincere condolences to the family of Mary Cairns who sadly passed away. Mary is the sister of Donal, a valued customer of Dixie’s. May she rest in peace 🙏

The death has taken place May 22nd 2026
at Altnagelvin Hospital of Mary Cairns
39 Bearney Road, Strabane
and formerly of 59 Peacock Road, Sion Mills.
Beloved partner of Liam,
dearly loved daughter of Molly and the late James Cairns
and much loved sister of Paul, Anthony, Bernadette, Helen,
Roisin, Seamus, Donal, Brendan, Sinead and Edel.
Reposing at the family home, 59 Peacock Road, Sion Mills
on Saturday (May 23rd) from 2p.m.
Funeral leaving the family home on Monday (May 25th)
at 11.20a.m. for Requiem Mass in St Theresa`s Church, Sion Mills at 12 noon.
Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Deeply regretted by her sorrowing partner, mum, brothers, sisters,
nieces, nephews and family circle.
Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.
FAMILY TIME PLEASE FROM 10p.m. to 11a.m.
AND ON THE MORNING OF THE FUNERAL.

Everyone at Dixie’s sends sincere condolences to the Cunningham family on the passing of Raymond, Lower Main Street. Up until illness prevented him Raymond was a popular and regular visitor to the Bar. He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends in the town. Rest in Peace, Raymond.

We were happy to welcome the promotion winning players of Strabane Athletic FC to the Bar on Saturday. The lads called in for a few celebratory pints. Congratulations to all on a fantastic achievement.

All of us at Dixie’s are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Celine Boyle, Lisnafin Park. Celine’s sons Liam and Tony are regular and respected patrons of the Bar as are her grandsons Gerald and Gavin. To the Boyle family and the friends of Celine we send sincere condolences at this time of loss.
