Yesterday we shared something pretty huge for us.
After six years, we finally paid off our Covid loan.
Honestly? Massive relief.
But the hard truth is… that’s only half the story.
Hospitality is still being squeezed from every direction. Food costs. Energy. Wages. Rent. VAT. The lot.
And all around us, pubs, cafés, restaurants, independents and even big chains are closing at an alarming rate. You probably know places you used to love that just aren’t there anymore.
That’s why we’re backing .
The campaign is calling for hospitality VAT to be reduced from 20% to 10% because right now, the pressure on the industry is becoming impossible for too many places to carry.
And this isn’t just about businesses.
It’s about the team members who got their first job in hospitality.
The young people learning confidence, graft and people skills.
The guests who come in for company, comfort, food, celebration, or just somewhere to feel part of something.
The high streets that need places with lights on, doors open and people inside.
Once these places are gone, it’s too late.
We’ll always graft. We’ll always show up. We’ll always do everything we can to keep CnB full of food, drinks, noise and life.
But hospitality needs support.
