Well… that escalated quickly 🍻
Closing date the 8th April.
After a whole *year* of pulling pints, pretending I knew how to fix things, and learning that “just one more” is never actually just one more… it’s time for me to hang up the keys to The Globe.
What a year it’s been! From busy weekends and questionable karaoke, to putting the world to rights at the bar and remembering (or at least trying to remember) everyone’s usual — you’ve all made it an unforgettable ride.
To all of you wonderful lot: thank you for your laughs, your patience, and for keeping me and the staff on our toes. You’ve made even the longest shifts worth it (even the ones where the barrel ran out at the worst possible moment…)
I may only have been here a year, but it’s been a brilliant one and as a woman who has never run a pub before and has tried everything to make this work I think it's been a huge learning curve and we have had some amazing times as a team and some great events! Without the Team I have I'd have struggled.
The Team and I thank the community for supporting us and we wish the best to whoever takes over.
We hope to see you all over the next couple of weeks before we close the doors.
Remember our big Family Fun day on the 3rd April 12-5pm come and join us for a final big day to remember.
