£45,000 Raised for Local Good Causes

What an incredible weekend, and what an incredible community.

We are delighted to announce that Midsummer Beer Happening 2026 has raised £45,000 for local charities, community groups and organisations across Stonehaven.

With around 5,000 people joining us over three fantastic days, this year's total brings the amount raised since the festival began in 2009 to an incredible £473,000.

This year's beneficiaries are:
• Stonehaven Fireballs Ceremony
• Stonehaven Men's Shed
• Stonehaven Sea Cadets
• Stonehaven Air Cadets
• Stonehaven Amateur Swimming Club
• Friends of Kincardine Community Hospital
• Stonehaven Land Train
• Mackie RFC Youth
• Stonehaven & District Lions Club
• Rhythm Dance Nation
• Stonehaven Folk Festival
• Home-Start
• Stonehaven Youth Club
• Stonehaven Youth FC
• Stonehaven Scouts
• Stonehaven Guides
• Pillar
• Dunnottar Pipes & Drums

This simply would not be possible without our volunteers, sponsors, breweries, musicians, food vendors, sportive riders and every single person who came through the gates and supported the Happening.

Every ticket purchased, every pint poured and every mile ridden has helped make a real difference to local people and local causes.

Midsummer Beer Happening remains a completely volunteer-led event, and we are enormously grateful to everyone who gave up their time before, during and after the festival to make it happen.

Thank you for helping us celebrate great beer, great music and great food while supporting great causes.

Together, we have now raised £473,000 for the community since 2009.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to welcoming you back next year.

🚴‍♂️ Good luck to the hundreds of riders setting off this morning in the Midsummer Beer Happening Sportive!

Whether you’re taking on one of our shorter routes or tackling the ultimate challenge, we hope you have an incredible day out.

A special mention goes to the brave riders taking on the legendary Dinaedo Route 💪
📏 100 Miles
⛰️ 8,000ft of Climbing
“Dinaedo” translates as “Don’t Do” ... which tells you everything you need to know!

This is a serious challenge for serious cyclists, and we wish every rider taking it on the very best of luck.

Ride safe, enjoy the day, and we’ll see you back in Stonehaven for a well-earned beer 🍻
