Stoney Legion Social Club Hello and welcome to the all new Stonehaven Legion page. We are a friendly, welcoming bunch, who like nothing more than a good time and a laugh.

You do not have to be, or affiliated with a member of The Forces to become a member. Our function Hall can be hired by non members and is available to AGM's, Birthday Parties, Bingo, Quiz Nights, Tribute Nights, Discos.....infact you name it we will try our very best to accommodate you. 🐎 RACE NIGHT IS COMING TO STONEY LEGION! 🐎

Join us on Saturday 3rd October from 7pm till close for a brilliant night of racing, laughs and fundraising — all in aid of our Roof Fund! 🏠💛

🎟️ Tickets are just £5 each
🏇 We’re also looking for 8 race sponsors at £50 per race
🎁 Raffle prize donations are very gratefully appreciated

Come along, pick your winners, have a few drinks and help us raise some much-needed funds for the club at the same time.

🚨 UPDATE — WE’VE BEEN STRUCK DOWN! 🤒

Well… remember that post earlier saying we’d be opening at 6pm today?

Yeah. About that… 😂

Unfortunately, the lurgy has now claimed another victim and, due to staff illness, The Stoney Legion will now NOT be opening at all today, Thursday 3rd September.

We genuinely tried, folks, but apparently the germs had other plans! 🦠🤧

Huge apologies for the change of plans and any inconvenience caused. We’ll keep you updated, and hopefully normal service will resume very soon.

☕🍰 COFFEE MORNING AT THE STONEY LEGION! 🍰☕

Come along and join us on Saturday 5th September, 10am–12pm, upstairs in the Stoney Legion Function Hall.

We’ll have plenty of home bakes, a raffle, tea, coffee and a good blether! ☕🧁🎟️

❤️ All proceeds will be going to RBLS Headquarters (HQ).

📣 DAY DISCO UPDATE 🕺💃

Unfortunately, due to low ticket sales, we’ve had to make the decision to cancel the Day Disco. 😭

We’re absolutely gutted because we thought you lot would be all over getting steaming and throwing shapes before teatime. 😂🕺

Sadly, with the numbers as they are, it just isn’t financially feasible to go ahead. Events like these aren’t just about having a good time either — the money raised goes straight back into the club, helping towards the roof and all the other glamorous things that insist on breaking and costing us money. 😂🔨💸

It’s a real shame, but we simply can’t run an event at a loss.

If you’ve already bought a ticket, please give me a message and I’ll get you fully refunded. ❤️

Thanks as always for your support — we’ll just have to find another excuse to get you all dancing in daylight. 😂🍻

🎶 MUSICIANS — FANCY A SUNDAY JAM? 🎶

We’re throwing around a wee idea at Stonehaven Legion and want to see if there’s any interest…

We’d love to start a relaxed monthly Sunday music/jam afternoon nothing formal, no auditions, no pressure and definitely no need to be a professional! Maybe once a month?

🪗 Accordion
🎸 Guitar
🎻 Fiddle
🪕 Banjo
🥁 Percussion
🎺 Brass
🎶 Or whatever instrument you happen to play!

The idea is simply to get people together, have a drink, play some tunes, join in with each other and have a bit of fun.

Experienced musician? Come and play and if you fancy sharing a few tips with someone who’s learning, even better.

Still learning? Don’t be shy! Bring your instrument along, meet other musicians, ask questions, listen, join in when you feel comfortable and hopefully pick up a thing or two.

There would be a collection/tips box available for anyone in the pub who wanted to show their appreciation too. ❤️

This isn’t about putting on a polished gig we want it to be relaxed, welcoming and a bit spontaneous. You never know who might walk through the door with an instrument! We absolutely loved the Folk Festival Vibe. Would love to have this on the regular.
