Origins and Survival The Old Post Office Gallery Burslem is looking forward to housing a mixed media exhibition entitled “Origins and Survival”.This exhibition will show the work of international ceramicist Dr Seong Heon Kim along with local artists. The origin and survival of life forms, fundamentally cells, has been an intriguing topic for both artists and philosophers and it is this which Dr Kim and other artists will use as their influence, specifically the idea of the mobius strip as an example of cell division and thus an eternity of life forms. Each artist explores different themes relating to the origin of our being and how we survive, both molecularly and literally. The exhibition opens on the 30th April, running until the 20th May 2010 For more information visit www.oldpostofficegallery.co.uk or contact Lindsey Cotterill on [email protected]
