Wet day in Stockton today… but plenty of people are taking shelter and using the facilities in Stockton Shambles

Once the council moves the tenants out, where will people be able to shelter from the rain? There is no castlegate anymore, then no shambles to use, it means Stockton is wide open…

Stockton Council have had surveys carried out on the building this week, despite “no decision being made” it is clear, they want our independent traders out.

They can bluff all they want that they intend to “work with the traders” the truth is, they favour a national vendor over the Stockton people.

And for those who say “well half the units are empty” there is a reason for that. The council wouldn’t allow any new businesses to open in here

It’s clearly a done deal.

🙏 Help our Firefighters out when parking!

⏲️ Every second counts when Firefighters are responding to a 999 call.

🚨 Time spent trying to squeeze between parked cars can put lives at risk. When parking please:

❌ Don’t park too close to bends/junctions – fire engines need more room than a car to turn

🚗 Make sure you straighten your wheels when you finish parking

✅ If you can, fold your wing mirror in!
