At the Heart of Stevenage and surrounding towns and villages 📍🩵
For the past 10 years, A R K has been proud to call Stevenage home, supporting not only the families who trust us, but also the wider community across our town and surrounding areas.
That commitment runs through everything we do today. John’s passion for our town led him to become a Trustee of the Stevenage Community Trust, an organisation we have proudly supported as corporate members for almost as long as A R K has existed. John’s role means that we are able to directly help raise funds and support local people, families, and charities who need a helping hand.
Our financial support reaches right into the core of local welfare. Over the years, we have been incredibly proud to make ongoing charity donations to Home-Start Hertfordshire (Stevenage) to support their vital early-years family services, alongside our contributions to the East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity to help fund extra equipment and patient care above and beyond what the NHS can provide. We have also supported many other local Charities in various ways.
We also believe that peace of mind comes from understanding, which is why we take our expertise out into the community. We have regularly given free, jargon-free educational talks in local retirement homes and some amazing local charities and groups; helping older adults and vulnerable individuals understand their options without any pressure.
Trusted Partnerships
We have also been incredibly proud to support our local NHS on the ground. We have teamed up with the Lister Hospital Butterfly Volunteer Service to set up a dedicated legal advisory stand during Dying Matters Awareness Week on three occasions - giving patients, families, and staff a safe, supportive space to ask vital questions about the future.
Our dedication to supporting local seniors is even recognised by the Stevenage Borough Council, who have invited us to attend the official Older Persons Day event for the past three years. It is a huge honour to be trusted by our local council to provide vital advice and information to the older members of our town.
Thank You for 10 Incredible Years 🩵
