Blind tasting or a known brand: which one actually proves quality?

I’ve always stood by the idea that a label shouldn't do the heavy lifting for a spirit. When we sent our White Chocolate Moonshine off to the Great Taste Awards, they didn't care about our Stalybridge roots or the Polish heritage behind the bottle. It was judged entirely blind on the liquid alone.

Walking away with a 2-star award in 2026 was a massive moment for the team here. It’s one thing for me to tell you our moonshine is smooth, but having industry experts confirm it’s 'outstanding' without seeing the branding first is the ultimate proof. It shows that Polish-style bimber can hold its own against any premium craft spirit on the shelf.

We’ve been busy behind the scenes creating something completely different for Moon Lounge, and we’re getting closer now. 🖤

Think nice fluffy grass, palm trees, Chesterfield sofas and a red carpet… all coming together to create a space that feels stylish, cosy and a little bit extra.

Right next to AK Distillery in Stalybridge, Moon Lounge will be the place for great drinks, cocktails, relaxed vibes and, of course, our moonshine.

Well… we’re here🔥

After all the planning, packing, lifting, building, last-minute shopping and the inevitable “have we forgotten something?!” moments… our Moonshine & Cocktail Bar is finally standing at The Big Feastival 🙌

And we absolutely love how it’s come together.

This weekend we’ll be pouring our AK Distillery moonshine, shaking cocktails and serving up a few dangerously easy-to-drink specials from our little corner of the Cotswolds.
