Last weekend we held our 4th Finals Day for our Darts Singles League which had 64 entrants! ๐ฏ
After 14 weeks of Group matches, The Gold, Silver and Bronze events were settled over a full day of darts! 129 matches in total to find our winners!
Gold Event:
After a competitive group stage, the knockout rounds produced some outstanding performances and a dominant champion in Mike Shaw.
The group phase saw Lee Batkin, Joe Goulden, Stan Derbyshire, and Mike Shaw all top their respective groups, with Chris Valentine, Lewis Cox, Lewis Parker, and Ian Walters joining them in the quarter-finals after finishing second.
The quarter-finals featured several convincing displays. Lewis Parker produced an excellent performance to eliminate Group 1 winner Lee Batkin 5-3, while Mike Shaw announced himself as a serious title contender with a ruthless 5-0 victory over Lewis Cox, averaging an outstanding 82.58. Stan Derbyshire was equally clinical, whitewashing Chris Valentine 5-0, and Joe Goulden completed the semi-final line-up with a 5-3 win over Ian Walters.
In the semi-finals, Shaw continued his impressive form, defeating Lewis Parker 5-3 while producing the highest average of the knockout stages at 80.49. On the other side of the draw, Stan Derbyshire overcame Joe Goulden 5-2 to book his place in the final.
The championship match proved to be one-way traffic. Mike Shaw saved his best performance for the biggest stage, averaging 71.01 as he stormed to a 6-0 victory over Stan Derbyshire in the best-of-11 final to lift the title. After an unbeaten group campaign and dominant knockout victories, Shaw was a worthy champion, dropping just three legs across the quarter-final, semi-final, and final combined.
Congratulations to Mike Shaw, whose consistency and scoring power throughout the evening made him a deserved tournament winner.

Silver Event:
After a competitive group stage, the Silver Tournament moved into the knockout rounds, where the pressure increased and every leg became crucial. The standard of darts remained high throughout, producing several impressive performances on the way to the final.
The quarter-finals saw Shaun Robinson edge out Brian Shuttleworth in the closest match of the round, claiming a 4-3 victory while averaging 64.27. Blaine Verling booked his semi-final place with a convincing 4-1 win over Cobain Jones, while Dan Cowan produced a dominant display to whitewash Zack Lloyd 4-0. Completing the semi-final line-up was Isaac Heath, who carried his excellent group-stage form into the knockouts with a 4-0 victory over Dan Mills.
The semi-finals showcased two outstanding performances. Blaine Verling was at his clinical best as he swept aside Group 1 winner Shaun Robinson 4-0, producing one of the performances of the tournament with a superb 66.07 average. In the other semi-final, Dan Cowan continued his impressive run, defeating Isaac Heath 4-1 to reach the final.
The final brought together two players who had grown stronger with each round. In a closely fought contest, Dan Cowan overcame Blaine Verling 5-3 to lift the Silver Tournament title. While both players averaged in the mid-to-high 50s, Cowan found the key moments when it mattered most, pulling away late in the match to secure the championship.
Congratulations to Dan Cowan, whose run to the title included victories over Zack Lloyd, Isaac Heath and Blaine Verling. After topping a highly competitive Group 3 and producing consistent performances throughout the knockout rounds, he proved a worthy Silver Tournament champion.

Bronze Event:
The Bronze event produced some excellent darts, with strong performances throughout the group stages. Group winners were Jordan Shelley, Sean Gutteridge, Gary Derbyshire and Matty Byron, while several players battled hard to secure their places in the knockout rounds.
In the quarter-finals, Jordan Shelley defeated Peter Collinson, Matty Byron edged out Rhys Williams in a deciding leg, Gary Derbyshire whitewashed Ollie Beckett, and Sean Gutteridge overcame Jamie Bateman.
The semi-finals saw Byron defeat Shelley 3-0, while Gutteridge ended Derbyshireโs unbeaten run with another 3-0 victory.
That set up a final between Matty Byron and Sean Gutteridge, with Gutteridge producing a superb performance to win 4-1 and lift the Bronze title. ๐
