What’s your coffee bean preference? ☕️

There are four main types of coffee beans:

🫘 Arabica: The most popular, known for a smooth, sweet, and complex taste.
🫘 Robusta: Stronger, more bitter, and higher in caffeine, often used in espresso blends.
🫘 Liberica: Rarer and known for a smoky, woody flavour.
🫘 Excelsa: Part of the Liberica family, offering a unique tart and fruity flavour.

Coffee Origins: The Mocha ☕️

The mocha is a satisfying blend of cappuccino and hot chocolate, making for a well-balanced sweet treat that complements the acidity of its espresso base.

The name "mocha" is derived from the Yemeni port of Mokha, which was a port well-known for its coffee trade from the 15th to 17th century.

The coffee drink today called "mocha", however, is made by adding chocolate, and some believe that this is the result of confusion caused by the chocolate flavour that may sometimes be found in Yemeni coffee.

Did you know Victoria Park was opened in 1908 and originally called the Victoria Park Pleasure Grounds? 🌳

As of this year, the park is 118 years old!

The park now covers 4.95 acres and contains the listed structures of the Alderman Mottram shelter and the County War Memorial.

The original park was extended twice, firstly in 1911 and secondly in 1930 when the play facilities were added to the northwest corner.
