We would like to ask everyone who has been part of the Hare and Hounds over the years, if you have any photographs, memories, or special moments that you would like to share on this page.
Although today marks the end of our time at the Hare and Hounds, we would love this page to become a memories and memorabilia page so that all the good times, special occasions, and the wonderful people who made the Hare and Hounds so special can always be remembered.
Whether it is old photographs from fancy dress nights, family parties, karaoke evenings, live entertainment, or simply happy times shared with friends, it would mean so much to us to see them and keep those memories alive.
Please feel free to post your pictures and memories in the comments, or send them to the page for us to share.
While we may no longer be serving you as customers, you will always be a very important part of the Hare and Hounds story, and of the memories that myself and Lynn will carry with us.
Thank you all once again for your love, support, and friendship over the years.
Lynn and Kev

Thank you to everyone who attended over the weekend.
It is hard to believe that today is the last day that I will open and close the Hare and Hounds.
The love and support we have received has been truly overwhelming and means more than words can say. Seeing so many people come through the doors to support us has made this final weekend incredibly special and something I will never forget.
It will be impossible not to look back and remember all the kindness, friendship and support that has been shown to us over the years. The Hare and Hounds has been such a huge part of our lives, and it holds so many special memories for me, especially of my mum and dad.
Today is a very emotional day, and while it is the end of a chapter, the memories made here will stay with us forever.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all once again for your love, your support, and for being part of the Hare and Hounds journey.
Kev and Lynn

After 17½ wonderful years… it’s time to say goodbye.

Seventeen and a half years ago, myself and Lynn walked into the Hare and Hounds and began what turned out to be one of the most important chapters of our lives. Back then we could never have imagined just how many memories, friendships, and special moments would be created within those walls.

From the fancy dress nights to the themed parties, from the well-remembered “Tramps” nights with the bonfires blazing out the back, to the countless evenings filled with laughter, music, and great company — the Hare and Hounds has always been more than just a pub. It became a place where people came together, where friendships were formed, and where a real sense of community grew.

Over the years we have shared so many special moments together — birthdays, weddings, family parties, celebrations, and nights that will never be forgotten. The Hare and Hounds has also been a place where people have supported one another in the harder times too, when the community came together to remember loved ones who are sadly no longer with us.

For myself and Lynn, the Hare and Hounds also holds very personal memories. Over the years we have lost people very close to us, including my mum and dad, Derek and Grace. The Hare and Hounds was where we held their wakes and family gatherings, surrounded by friends, family, and the community that meant so much to them and to us. Because of that, this place will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

Saying goodbye to somewhere that has been such a huge part of our lives for 17½ years is not easy, and it truly is with a heavy heart that we share this news.

Myself and Lynn would like to thank every single person who has supported us over the years — the regulars who became like family, the friends who helped when help was needed, and everyone who walked through the doors to share in the good times. Without you, the Hare and Hounds would never have been what it became.

Before we close, we will be having a “This Is It” Finale Weekend:

🎤 Friday 20th March – Karaoke hosted by Paul – 8pm
🎤 Saturday 21st March – Karaoke hosted by Paul – 8pm
🎶 Sunday 22nd afternoon – Live entertainment

Monday 23rd March will be our last day of opening.

If anyone would like to come along over the weekend, raise a glass, share a memory, sing a song, or simply say goodbye to the Hare and Hounds, you would be very welcome.

The Hare and Hounds has never just been a building to us — it has been a home, a meeting place, and a place full of memories that will stay with us forever.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Hare and Hounds family over the last 17½ years. We will never forget the laughter, the friendships, and the moments we have all shared together.

Please share your favorite memories of the Hare and Hounds in the comments below. Your stories mean the world to us.

With sincere thanks and very full hearts,

Kev and Lynn

From DJ Dizzy Jay 🎤
Last night honestly left me lost for words — and that doesn’t happen often.
To every single person who came to my final karaoke night… thank you. The love, support, and turnout were completely overwhelming in the best possible way. Seeing so many familiar faces, hearing the songs, the laughter, the cheers — it reminded me exactly why I did this for so long.
Over the past decade, karaoke wasn’t just a job for me. It became a community. You welcomed me, supported me, trusted me with your voices, your confidence, and your nights out. You helped me grow, learn, and become a better entertainer — and a better person — along the way.
There were moments last night that I’ll carry with me forever. Moments of joy, emotion, and reflection… and also moments where I quietly thought of those who couldn’t be there, and those we’ve sadly lost over the years. They were with us in spirit, no doubt about it.
I want to be clear once again — the Hare and Hounds is not closing. This was simply my farewell from karaoke, not the end of the pub or the memories that will continue to be made there.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the cards, the kind words, the hugs, the applause, and for making my final night something I could never have imagined. You didn’t just show up — you gave me a send-off I’ll treasure forever.
This chapter may be closed, but the memories will always be part of me.
Much love and endless thanks,
DJ Dizzy Jay ❤️🎶
