Always a nice pub to meet up with family and friends.
The carvery wasn't too bad and the Adults £11.99 and the kids at £5.99 it doesn't cost the earth. Plenty to choose from on the meat counter and the veg, my only dislike was the roast potatoes, very chalky, probably cooked from frozen.
Need to give the staff a shout out as they are always extremely friendly and helpful. 👏👏

With the Sunday Roast back on the menu it was definitely a good reason to go back and visit this absolute gem.
The pub is gorgeous inside and out and we had a table in the bar area next to the fire 😁
The staff here are absolutely amazing, so welcoming, friendly and polite.
The Trio of Roasts had Pork, beef and turkey served with stuffing, Yorkshires, roast potatoes and roasted veg.
For dessert we had Cherry Bakewell cheesecake with double cream and Apple, Sultana & Cinnamon crumble with custard.
They have a great Sunday menu with loads to choose from.

Highly recommended, their food is fantastic. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We returned for our second visit here. A Roast with a bit of a twist, served as a platter or grazing tray I like to call it 😀.
Their food is absolutely amazing, Lamb, Beef and Turkey all perfect. I really do like the plate up yourself method.
Highly recommended... So good

Last week's bank holiday weekend Sunday Roast The Maids Head Wicken
Stunning pub in a lovely little village Wicken, nice beer garden out the front onto the green.
Roast beef and Roast Chicken were amazing, not always on the menu but a full gluten free option available. The side of cauliflower cheese was very nice and gorgeous desserts.
Great pub and very friendly staff.
Even have a happy hour on a Friday afternoon 😁🍺🍺

Bit of a forgotten review. We visited here two weeks ago.
It's a really smart and well presented pub with a very warm welcome. The staff were fantastic.
Great variety on the menu even if you wanted something else instead of a Roast.
The star of the show was the LAMB, absolutely amazing, Roast chicken was seasoned perfectly to.
If I could maybe change something, remove the mash and add cauliflower cheese, otherwise delicious roast.
