🚨 Missing 🚨 Our fisherman’s wife has been taken from the pub, the dolls were a gift to us and we would like her returned. Whoever took her, she was not yours to take.
We are also missing two photographs, these photos mean a lot to us, and we would like them returned. Copies can be made of the photos if you want them that much.
So please, just drop the doll and the photos back, no questions asked.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended Tony’s funeral and wake yesterday. A massive thank you to Sandy Scarrott and John Reed for letting us play such a big part in the day.

A reminder that The Ship will not be open this morning, we will be open after Tony’s funeral as all staff are attending the funeral. We aim to be open at 3/3:30 for the wake. We look forward to seeing you all to celebrate the man we all loved so much. The funeral is taking place at Woodvale North Chapel at 2pm ❤️

Tony’s Funeral ❤️

Funeral arrangements for Anthony Richard Scarrott (Doris) late of West court road Worthing.
With great sadness, I share the arrangements for his funeral. He was an amazing man, full of fun with an engaging personality that is sorely missed. He brought laughter, conversation and poured innumerable pints throughout his long life.

Tony's funeral will take place on Wednesday 28th January 2026 at 14:00 at north chapel, Woodvale Crematorium, Brighton. BN2 3QB

Tony always said he didn't want black worn at his funeral and to quote him “they can be as gay as they like !” respectfully smart and colourful will be wonderful. Tony did like a good tie!

Afterwards, all who knew him are warmly invited to The Ship Inn, Southwick Street BN42 4AD to raise a glass, and share some nibbles, stories and honour his remarkable life.

There will be free tea and coffee for everyone, and poppies on sale behind the bar.
