Charlie took over the pub in March , it was her dream to own her own her own pub and so set out on the adventure . There was a few things that cropped up through the year that knocked her but she kept at it . She wanted to make it her own , so with help from her friends and the local bike clubs she began to change things . Charlie wanted to make a music venue that was biker friendly in the town but open to everybody young and old , she prides herself on the welcome everyone gets as they walk in and all the staff excel at making those who do come in feel welcome .

Charlie has taken the first year to find her feet and overcome the obstacles in her way , and with the support of the customers and friends aims to make the Ship N Anchor Southports best hidden secret . With live music and party nights on through the week , 2020 has much in store with some top named bands and artists playing at the pub .

The fan base is growing for the pub with people coming from far and wide to enjoy the safe environment that is The Ship N Anchor , plus with the locals that come in it’s safe to say that things are moving in the right direction .

The Pub its self is one of Southports oldest , dating back many years and though things have changed over those years Charlie vowed to keep the same warm welcome and atmosphere it has held through out its life .
