We would like to share the story of Dorothy, a brave and beautiful aged 5 years old girl with a kind heart and the most infectious laugh. Dorothy loves to sing and dance. And enjoy a mini charcuterie board before her Absolute Arts classes.
Recently, Dorothy was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma Cancer which can infect the bladder, neck, reproductive organs, and skeletal muscles. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Great Ormond Street. She has shown incredible resilience she has smashed through 4 weeks of treatments out of 27 weeks.
Her parents, Heather and Jack, are doing everything they can to be there whilst working through her treatment schedule. This requires travelling in and out of London quite a lot, but accommodation to stay over night when Dorothy may require being on a drip for several days in a row isn’t always feasible. While they have loads of support from family they too also have work but are doing everything they can. As you can imagine the financial and emotional toll is significant.
With this is mind, we are asking our Switch community old and new to donate whatever you can to help support Dorothy and her beautiful family during this challenging time.
We have a box behind our bar in order to raise funds for this beautiful little family. We ask our beloved customers if you have any spare change to donate what you can on your next visit with us.
