After a lot of moving, cleaning and prepping we're excited to announce that The Shooting Star has taken up the mantle and will be serving our menu.
Although it will be a smaller menu until they can gauge how busy it will be, the recipes and love that goes into the food will be the same.
We hope to see some familiar faces and that you enjoy the food.
When you see the menu you'll probably notice it is quite a bit cheaper - this is because costs such as rent/rates etc are already taken care of and such those savings have been passed on!

*** ONE WEEK LEFT***
This time next week we will be shutting our doors for the last time. Thank you to everyone that's come in and left us with some really kind sentiments.
We hope to see as many as possible of you before the end!

***Closing Update***
Sorry for being slow on updating you all but we needed to make sure that our last day was well and truly our last day, as to not string you along!

Saturday the 2nd of September will be our last day!

That gives us 3 weeks of creating some lasting, happy memories before we lock up for the last time.
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their continued support for these last few weeks, it has really made the difference.
Opening times will stay the same this week, however due to all of our staff now securing employment elsewhere from the week of the 21st we will only be open from Wednesday-Friday evenings and all day Saturday.
We have had quite a few messages about people wanting to buy little keepsakes recently, so we will be posting something next week in regards to that!

**Upsetting News Incoming**
We really hoped to never have to type these words but; unfortunately we have made the decision to permanently shut our doors in about a months time.
This decision has not come lightly but it is one that needed to be made. If it wasn't for our pride and love of the venue, it would have been made earlier.

We would love it if you could continue to support us in these last few weeks whilst we roll things back so that the staff have time to find new homes - If you are aware of any venues that are looking for fantastic staff then please let us know so we can pass it on to them.

As this post will likely garner a lot of attention we'd like to also take this time to try and remind people to support independent businesses where they can. There are so many places near us that serve such an important place in the community that will also be struggling with the high rents and inflated energy prices.

We are having talks currently about moving the kitchen into The Shooting Star and how viable this move would be and whether it would be something people would like to see. Whether or not this comes to fruition is still on the table.

A massive thank you is due to everyone that has supported us over the years and to all our staff past and present for breathing such life into the place. We're sorry if we let anyone down but at least we have some great memories to go out with.

🤘Important Announcement🤘

An unfortunate announcement here for us at The Black Phoenix...

As you may have noticed, times aren't the easiest for a lot of us at the moment and especially for small independent businesses like ourselves.

We've unfortunately had to have 'one of those chats' and have decided to make some changes and with full transparency they're changes that will hopefully keep us away from 'THE chat'

The main change that will happen straight away will be our opening hours, this unfortunately now include us not being open on Sundays at all now.

You can find our new opening hours below, we will be closed this Sunday and these new hours will start next week.

Monday - Thurs - Bar 5-10 - Kitchen 5-9
Friday - Bar 5-12 - Kitchen 5-10
Saturday - Bar 12-12 - Kitchen 12-10
Sunday - CLOSED

There will be more changes coming, but were hoping to not have too announce some just yet, or even at all, we know there's businesses closing all over the country and we feel blessed to have survived the pandemic and to still be operating, but this cost of living crisis is starting to give us a real beating.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we thank you more for all your continuing support!
